The future starts here

Day 1,793, 05:51 Published in Ireland Ireland by Liam Tatlock

For those that don't know, after Winston Hope Smith's election as President of the Independent Labour Party, I have been made Vice President of the same, along with Comrade Lovely, who has been made Secretary General.

The aim of all of us and others, who are eager and willing, is to rebuild the image of the party to be the party of choice for those who value integrity, honesty and trust after the recent scandal at the top of government with the theft of most of the country's reserves by an unnamed person, thought strongly to be sawc, who left the country immediately prior to that.

That has brought one key area of reform to the fore and is something we believe should be instigated immediately. All in the ILP want the party to go forward and be the prominent political organisation in Ireland, but we value honesty and integrity more and that is what we aim to achieve. That will, hopefully, go hand in hand with growing the party as the Irish people see they can trust us.

In an effort to keep the party clean, we plan to instigate background checks on new members to eliminate, as far as is possible, the danger of unscrupulous persons rising to positions of power. While it's not possible to foresee any given person going rogue, we will do our utmost not to further the career of anybody with a history of nefarious doings.

We, of course, welcome all new members to the fold, if they hold the interests of Ireland and the party in their hearts. Can I welcome you to the future?
