My last article, generated some interesting buzz, namely "how can I make that much profit"

Its a simple prospect, one I call the farmville effect.

If you've ever played a -ville game, and I don't recommend the action under any circumstance, there is one interesting thing about them, you can't lose, oh sure, your crops can die, or you food can spoil, but for majority of players you can't lose, I have tried to lose at a -ville game, and I can insure you, it is hard to do so, you have to actively want to lose.

The farmville concept is Do something -> wait -> Profit. So plant your strawberries, wait 5 minutes*, harvest your straw berries. Your strawberry seeds cost 40 coins*, but when you sell them, you get 80 coins* now you can plant two strawberry patches and so on and so forth.

This is how it works with eRepublik, sort of. Work -> Wait for items to sell -> Profit.


If I only had 3 Wheat Farms and food company, I could make about 283 CAD a day.

189 Wheat - 180 for food = 9
180 Food - 25 for health regain = 155
180 CAD for working.

9 Wheat Sold @ 0.25 = 2.25
155 Food sold @ 0.65 = 100.75
103+180 = 283

Since I'm the only one working I have no wages to pay, and any money I get is pure profit, which I can reinvest, in one week, I have $1981, provided I don't spend any of it, which is very easy to do in this game(for me anyways) I can buy a land and get another wheat farm (not recommended) and have $481 left over.

So lets do another week
63 + 9 Wheat = 72
180 - 30 Food for health regain = 150

72 Wheat Sold @ 0.25 = 18
150 Food Sold @ 0.65 = 97.50
180 for Working

18+97.50+180 = 295.5

295.5 * 7 = 2068.5

2068.5 + 481 from last week = $2549.50

As you can see you gain money 'quickly' and can expand your companies if you focus on it.

I know market prices sway and some days you can make more than others, this is just proof of concept. Back in V1 you could not work for your self or even more than once, and you even a work skill. This led to business to be very risky, not to mention other factors like the different raw types (remember diamonds?).

So about my last article.


I make roughly about $5000 on guns alone, per week. So if someone gives me enough money to make an entire new company and land, you can pet your Penguin Females, that it can drastically increase my profits, in which I can return to you. I'll admit that I do lose some of my money re-paying the loans, since that what they are, but for me in the long run, I will come out on top, and since I have the capital to back up these transactions, is there any real worry? You get and extra 50% on your money, and I get a new cattle farm, or something. (I think the fisheries should be Q5 food raw)
