The Diminishing Queensland Population
ronnyJnrJnr
This is my first attempt at writing an article, but it has been an easy one to decide to write. When i joined erepublik about 2 weeks ago, I joined the state that i lived in, Queensland, with great pride and a sense of responsibility towards my state foremost, then my country, its population was in the region of 320. When perusing through the pages today I visited the State page only to discover that our population has dropped below 300. It has been slowly dropping since I joined and will be closely monitoring how our state is fairing with other states on the population scale.
This problem also has alot to do with issues discused this aticle (information-renaissance-rebirth-from-th e-flam-ing by Ms. Monatague III).
What can we do as citizens to increase our population and why do we need to? The for the later, it is quite simple really, production. This equals AUD which equals GOLD. How do we increase the population? The current stimulus to turn up to work everyday wiith out feeling like, and i quote "a 2 click citizen" ( Edwina P. Montague III ) , and keeping citizens informed by the government to join other activities and/or tell others to join erepublik and helping them through, doesnt apear to be enough. There are many and varied suggestions I think and is of course always open to debate so, please, feel free to discuss

I think the point you might have miseed is "where have these ecitizens gone?".
Were they eIndo's working there that have gone back to eIndo territories?
Have the left QLD for eNSW or eVIC to fight in the war games which boosts their productivity and health?
We need first to check if the population of eAus has dropped before we start worrying that we have a exodus of QLD.
why is QLD's pop dropping? Well, partly it's actually a good thing - when you joined QLD had only recently been returned, and still had many eindonesian colonists. They've been leaving.
Partly, it's QLDers moving to NSW or Vic to use the hospitals; which means they grow tougher and more able to defend eAus. That's good as well. They'll move back when QLD gets a hospital.
Also many of us move overseas, that's less good, but ineviable as long as eAus remains neutral in the many ewars.
If it had a hospital, I'd be there in jiffy.
The entire population of e-republik is declining. I sincerely hope that this is mostly due to the perma banning of multi’s but the fact that the birth rate of new players is not keeping up is a concerning fact.

The above link / address will take you Australia’s stats which indicate a 20% drop in the last 2 weeks !!! I have not had the time to compare the total new world drop or the rate of other e-nations.
I have many more views on this matter that are in direct relation to the situation in E-Aus but will save that for another time / article.
As others have noted its mostly due to the eIndos leaving back to their homestate. Nothing to be alarmed at as it is perfectly natural 😉

Am I missing something here Broad ?

E-indo has also been experiencing a decline..
To further point the problems please check the total (new world)population decline :

(according to the stats) The game reached a peak on 4 June at 145 613 users and has dropped at a rate which slightly less than that experienced in E-Aus.

Exactly
1 No hospital. How can i help and when is it finished, where can I see progress??
2 Whole decline of Erep. Like i said the stimulus isnt enough and can seem too complicated
3 Not enough gov input for new citizens
well here are some answers from an Aussie in Paraguay
1. you can become part of the construction industry and when your high enough level in construction you can ask centrelink for a job at their hospital company which is q5 and when you work there you can see the progress of hospital or just visit the company page every day.
2.some people don't want to play game it doesn't look interesting to some.
3. govt doesn't control input of citizens. tell people of game and they play then more new people
Well, im a Queenslander in real life, too. But what probably happened is that these people moved to either NSW or Victoria becaues they have hospitals there, so they can heal after fighting.
hmmm, my first thought for eIndo was the eRom PTOers leaving, but a fall in eworld population? That's weird.
Check that - impossible. ecitizens *dying* doesn't remove them from the game. *Banned* ecitizens remain in the game.
WTF? This has to be a bug!
@whitelaughter: does it include them in stats though? Or a dead citizens just ghosts, for references to history?
Basically, more people are dying than joining on a daily basis. Please check the following link for more confirmation of the stats from the website :

You will see that these figures match that of the demographic links posted previously. I do find it amusing at the wonderful speculation that takes place in this game when true information has been presented. I for one, would be worried at the greater decline in population of e- Aus in comparison to the new world index. At the current rate, the *live* population of e-aus will be some 1500 citizens within 4 weeks. Lets hope this trend is corrected and it would be lovely to see the schoolyard antics of the current champions of this great land be laid to rest to assist in this cause.
To the those that have been involved with or turned a blind eye to the multi / clone tactics evident in this game, I say thank you for ruining a potentially wonderful experience , especially for the newer generations that are obviously not interested enough to hang around to help the community grow for many differing reasons.

The game gets stale after a while. The game is very slow moving and I am willing to guess that many "game players" have moved on to games with more excitement and a lot less talking to each other.
Just to give you some perspective, here are some figures that I collect each evening (automatically with the eRep API)
There are 68 active citizens in Queensland (23.2% of the reported eRepublik population [293])
There are 971 active citizens in eAustralia (45.3% of the reported eRepublik population [2142])
I've defined "Active" as having gained at least 1 experience point in the last 24 hours
