I have been watching with great amusement of how people are bringing up and playing the Elite card all over again. They blame the 10% high tax on the Elites, accuse them of theft and accuse them of being super rich.
Without bothering to go into detail (lie), please allow me to re-educated you on how this game works.
Each month a new country president, a new congress and a new party president are elected. This election is done by the vote of the common citizen.
You following so far?
So basically a group of common people could potentially have the opportunity to form a party, run for congress and eventually run for presidency... Amazing isn't it?
So how on earth can the Elites be Elites if they can so easily be brushed aside by the force of the people.
So wait... Am I basically telling you, that people like Hampton can potentially bring about change?

Unless... Hampton is just lazy, doesn't care, writes sporadically because its fun to annoy the elites because he can than justify to himself that he is different and that he cares and that he has done his bit to bring about change.
The Elites are nothing more than workaholics, glorified biatches, slaving away for the country, organizing, co-ordinating, communicating, strategizing, forecasting, analyzing and managing the country. They are underpaid or not paid, they have no life yet they are the ones who keep USA alive. Kemal is a perfect example, he is free help, anytime anyone needs any advise on the economy Kemal hures himself out for free.
But wait... They have credit cards? They buy gold?
So? Thats great news for USA, the more gold buyers there are, the more factories are bought, the more taxes are collected and maybe... just maybe the more jobs are created.
I know of some Military Units that have invested thousands of gold and cc in developing the communes but I also remember that when the economics changes, the government could not support these military units, it was the great economic depression and quite frankly no one could do anything about it.
USA doesn't need to decrease its taxes, it doesn't need to wage a unholy war against the Elites because without these taxes and without these Elites the US will crumble because there is no one else to do the job that must be done to make this country great.
Its so much easier to complain, write an article and think you are God because you are so right, when in reality you are just lazy and you are disturbing the process by being unproductive.
Canada cannot sustain this war against the US, it is impossible eventually even the gold buyers move on, but they are fighting another war with US citizens emotional blackmail. They are crying about how the US is unfair but this game is all about conquest and the US is well within its right to own Canada outright. So what if they RW once every few days and win. So what? The gold buyers of Canada have to fund it, the goverment barely makes a 1000 cc a day.
So to all of you who bothered to get this far, the elites are not the enemies the ones who make silly complaints are the enemies. The tax is not high, its just and the more money US has the more influence it can throw around in this game.
I'm running for Congress and I will support these crazy workaholics and I will support the 10% tax because right now it all makes perfect sense.
And FYI, I pay 160+ taxes each day when I work my WRMs and Factories which I bought with my American Express and I ain't complaining because I'm getting bonuses and able to sell my products in the US market and make 6k a week. That is crazy!

There is literally nothing the eUS can do to Canada that it hasn't already done repeatedly. Whereas we can continue to disrupt, distract, and drain you, knowing it can never, ever, get any worse for us.

In your analogy, if the US is the guy and the small dog is Canada, who is the Hot Girl friend? You should have been like

Second, let me show you how it works, this government is not run by the elections here on eRep, they are formailties, the govt is run on the eUSA forums, both in public and private sections, without access to the private sections a common person has no say what so ever. that' where decisions get made by people who may or may not have been elected in game.

Actually I haven't seen that, nor have I ever been offered money to vote, but please redirect me to the right people because I don't mind getting paid for voting.
In order to get into congress, there is an election. How the congress behave afterwards depends on the congress. Each congressmember is liable for his own vote.
The 10% tax was originally set, to get to the 10m cc reserve, 10% is now needed to expand the US empire so that we can conquer more regions which translates into a higher income. Then you can decrease the tax amount, should it be required than.

Actually budget discussions are on the public board. And you can start a thread in eRep general and your voice will be heard on the forums. Clearly you also know how to publish an in game article and buy votes for it so your voice is heard here to.

I have no problem with the "elites", God bless them we need them, some are actually against the taxes being so high. Would it destroy eUSA to drop the tax to 8% for a month to see the effect on the finances? Thats what I would like to see. Great article.!
A drop in the WT was tried by some members of Congress last week... but nearly along party lines (USWP/AMP/WTP defeated Fed/BSP) it failed and Americans continue to pay the level that was supposed to be to beef up the War Chest which has reached the level it was supposed to months ago.
If the elites wanted the taxes at 8% they would already be at 8%, if the mass majority of the public wants to lower taxes it becomes an all out political war.
If by mass majority you mean yourself than you need to look up the defination. Use the forums to have a debate and than run a poll there.
There are more people in eRep than on the forum, so I go where the masses go.
Also, "myself" and only myself is no where near the large number of people who want a lower work tax rate. chazp and Jude right here in this thread support it. I don't need a dictionary, you need a calculator.

I would merely point out there is no way I could have ever gained as many companies as I have with the current tax rate. So we are pretty much screwing those who don't buy gold. Prepare your butts because everybody is getting screwed in the end. Especially when you consider the current surplus and all the people that have left eUsa because of the Tax rate.
You don't become rich over night, it takes time. I also know your not poor, you've donated thousands of dollars to AFAs cause.

Please consider for the players who don't use credit cards, trying to build up companies and improve the eUS economy through effort and patience - the work tax is a punishment aimed directly at those players and it frustrates them from getting there. It removes the incentive to make companies and from my own independent data there is actually less tax income possible in the long run, not more. Less damage "to throw around" (at weaker targets or otherwise) in the long run.
Man stop crying. I know players(plural) over level 200 who have never spent a dime in the game. You've to play smart and not make excuses and b*tch around all day, the eUS was doing just fine before and during the WT. It's not the end of the world.
What's your problem? If you can't handle it when someone posts a comment you're in the wrong part of the game. The point was that the newer players and the economy now would not grow as much if they are penalised for growing. It is irrelevant what level 200 players have done in the past, they paid zero work tax and could get money from many other sources.
If you are running one factory Q1 weapons and producing 16 or 18 Q1 thats still slightly more in value in comparasion to the tax.
Eitherway the government must support such iniatives and give loans to qualified people to help them build up. Which I understand they do already.
It's an interesting point but there is an assumption there that the current tax settings are required for bonuses, which I do not see as necessarily the case. It doesn't need to cost millions of cc and have all our damage drained away when we could have rented the regions, I presume for much less in this case. The companies do need bonuses - but the bonuses also need companies to take advantage of them, and the highest taxation-per-capita in the world sends a message that this is not the country to be making companies in.
Giving loans could be problematic because most new players quit, and it requires more maintenance - and it is not the only option. I suggest a more right-wing approach that is easy to implement and more efficient.
