Thanks Aren't Enough

Wow, it's been forever since I've written anything....so busy with RL and the military that this went to the back burner. I felt it was important to dust off my paper to give credit where it was due.

Most of you know me well enough to know that I stay out of the political arena, I've focused my game on my military career thus far. I am now a retired General of the TC, the best training program in the eWorld hands down, and served as a member of the JCS. I am currently a Platoon Executive Officer in the Airborne (BOO-YAH)! This article is my own opinion and does not reflect the opinions of the JCS, or anyone else for that matter. It's just the right thing to do.

With the emergence of v2 the game just went to hell. I watched many friends quit in frustration. It seemed our country was being torn down the middle at times with bickering. There were days I thought I'd step away from it as well. It's been a long time since I've had a ton of fun in this game. But this past month that changed....

This past month I witnessed something so powerful, so incredibly beneficial for our entire population and so unselfish that I just wanted to give credit where it was 1000% due.

You had to be living under a rock to not benefit from Operation Monkey Business. Funded by our POTUS, Colin Lantrip, out of his own pocket, OMB supplied unlimited food and weapons to anyone in the eUS that requested them. Civilians, military and politicians alike were fed and geared every day for a week.

In my opinion this program was the backbone to our staggering military victories this past month. Added to that, EVERYONE increased their ranking substantially by being able to fight to their maximum potential every day. It didn't matter how small or large the player, we all mattered that week. The effects of this program in increasing our combined military strength will live forever.

Colin Lantrip treated everyone with respect, it didn't matter if they were military, militia, politicians, or civilians, we all mattered to him. I witnessed him working closely with the JCS and our military, and he did it with patience, caring and respect. He worked tirelessly to increase new player retention in his efforts to promoted newbie education. He honestly has the eUS's best interests at heart.

With all that said I'd like to end with this....

I wish we could tie him to the helm forever. He made us stronger, faster and tougher. I had fun again! The Age of the Apes rocked! I sincerely hope that future leaders look to this past month as a tutorial on how to strengthen the bonds in our country.
