Technocratic Tenets
Hello.
I am Tiamati, currently the Chairman of the Technocratic Society; and I am a Two-Clicker
Sure, I've visited meta in the past; both on IRC and the current eUSA forum. I've even been a guest on eNPR and Josh Whitehead's WWW radio during Artela's most recent term as PotUS some months back. Yet I have primarily remained a two-clicker by choice.
Why? Simple really.
I am an eAmerican Technocrat. The Technocratic Society was created long ago by a small group of players; a group of players most of which left eRepublik long ago. They left for various reasons, yet they remain fondly remembered.
In fact, so few of us remain that most have forgotten who the Tech's were, and more tragically, most have no idea what we represent. For a time even I had forgotten our Fundamental Technocratic Tenets. Recent events have reminded me why I chose to become a member of the Technocratic Society so long ago.
In the beginning we saw an eAmerica joyous, recently celebrating the liberation of the eUSA after a long war ending the occupation after "World War III" near the tail-end of v1. Yet instead of the top 5 parties we wanted our own party here in eAmerica.
The game has changed much since then, and it will continue to change of that there can be no doubt. Plato and his team are constantly working on improving our new world. In recent months we've seen many changes designed (and mostly successful) to enhance our gaming experience.
New taxes to ensure players contribute to their Nation's tax base while working their own companies in a managerial capacity. An entirely new in-game forum to replace the original one lost during a management transition...new shout feeds for not only our friends but also our military units and political parties. Even a group pm function for collaborative endeavors.
I wholeheartedly thank Plato and his team for all of their efforts on making eRepublik an enjoyable environment; encouraging us to be social and to work together towards common goals. With their dedication eRepublik is once again a viable social MMO platform; not only viable, but now entirely self-sufficient.
As such, the first Technocratic Tenet is "We do not need Meta to play eRepublik."
With three separate shout feeds, in-game group mail, an in-game forum available to all with one click at the bottom of the home screen we no longer need meta to be social in eRepublik.
Yet everywhere we turn it seems eRepublik veterans want us elsewhere... On IRC to chat in real-time; in a player-run forum where people other than Plato either have or could gain access to our IP addresses and host names... Google docs, tinyurls with which you could land anywhere....
I wish to be clear; I've nothing against anyone who partakes in meta, but I am opposed to anyone being coerced off of eRepublik. We are already logged in and playing, voting, shouting, and most importantly, participating. EUSAforums is well run, as is the Rizon chat server from an administrative perspective.
From my perspective meta remains entirely optional. The wiki is reasonably maintained and can answer most questions so there is little need to log in elsewhere for in-game questions. If you cannot find the answer there there are many who are willing to answer in-game mail from younger players without hesitation, including me.
The second Technocratic Tenet is "We believe in our eNation."
We will not cheat eAmerica out of its tax revenue by participating in work-compensation programs by working for low wages only to WAIT on IRC for an overworked and under-compensated Quartermaster to donate items to us. Our military depends on tax revenue in order to keep fighting the good fight.
The Technocratic Society maintains its own Military Unit which does not offer such programs. It exists to defend our nation and protect its members by offering a hassle-free environment within which to accumulate energy bars.
The third Technocratic Tenet is "We Hate Cheaters"
We loathe those who cheat with Multies, Proxies, and Zombies. I for one despise seeing old friends return from the dead only to vote; all are disgraceful practices which should end immediately in an eAmerica which prides itself on the ability to have free and fair elections.
The fourth Technocratic Tenet is "All opinions are welcome; as long as they are relevant to eRepublik."
One of the largest pitfalls associated with Meta is the real-time interaction available via IRC. While it is a wonderful way to collaborate with other willing members it is an even better way to become alienated from the game entirely through differing opinions with others. As such, it is worthwhile to remember such services are not vital to being successful here in eRepublik.
The fifth Tenet of the Technocratic Society is perhaps the most important of all. "We play by choice; our friendships are our greatest strength."
Even more important than Strength, it is the friendships made here in eRepublik which convince many of us to log in each day. The friendships made here can last a lifetime. Most I've interacted with thus far are reasonable and helpful, though it is important to remember everyone is entitled to an off-day.
With eAmerica mostly restored a new phase in our reemergence is upon us. The treaty with Poland has now given us the ability as a community to choose which direction for ourselves. The east coast of the eUS will remain annexed for the time being to insulate us from the established nations of eEurope while we continue to rebuild from our recent defeat.
As a Technocratic Two-Clicker it remains my hope that all eAmericans are able to adopt these five Tenets of the Technocratic Society and that, if they are so inclined, should feel welcome to join us; if you have any questions feel free to pm me directly or comment below.

You have what it takes
I like this. I've been thinking of getting back to my roots.
Your roots are showing, time to get a dye job.
Next time; Please, tell me in private. 🙂
GOOD LORD!
How far back on papers do alerts go?
Really, 2180 to 2610
That is fucking years!
Christ, look at the comment I gave ASS at the bottom.
That is not a joke, ASS is at the bottom.
Every now and then, I comment on a paper that is several years old.
As do I old boy, as do I.

"Plato and his team are constantly working on improving our new world."
Are we playing the same game?
Good luck with the society o7
I absolutely agree with this, there is nothing done on IRC or the eUSA Forums that can not be duplicated right here in game....

I agree whole heartedly.
Good stuff.
The Technos are coming. You will be assimilated.
To each there own, I respect your rights so long as you respect ours.
If it wasn't for the meta I probably wouldn't be half as active as I am.
😛
Nice Tenets.
Voted.
good stuff
Thank you all for your comments and votes; I will be responding to individual comments above after rollover this evening. For the time being I wish to remind fellow eAmericans that they should NOT fight in eMaine today per the Non Aggression Pact with Poland under the treaty signed by former PotUS Josh Frost.
As stated above:
The east coast of the eUS will remain annexed for the time being to insulate us from the established nations of eEurope while we continue to rebuild from our recent defeat.
As always, thank you for your time and consideration.
Nice plug. Anything to get out the news right?
After some rest my heart softened a bit and I realized you made some very sound arguments.
You also convinced me that I haven't done enough to involve the two clickrs more actively in the
contests I run. I didn't see how I was suppose to do that, but I realized efficiency can be sacrificed
to find a way to run the contests inside the game...
As long as Im willing to spend more time working on the games / contests I can make some of them work on erepublik. You've added a new build concept to my mind...
But I admit a counter the thing I've gotten use to in eRepublik is the words CSRF ATTACK DETECTED and watch whatever I was writing disappear as if it didn't exist. That event usually drives me away from plato's world like a speeding bullet towards the irc or player built forums...
Voted with enthusiasm. The Technocratic Tenets really resonate with me.
Can't believe I've missed this article for 100 days.

"From my perspective meta remains entirely optional. "
Word!
But this one impressed me the most:
"We play by choice; our friendships are our greatest strength."
And yet, you eat shit all day long.
What is it with you and shit, ASS?
I would never eat you!
Nice.
Emerick would be proud "if he were still alive".
