Does anyone else feel the EDEN demise is dragging on forever...?
The unfortunate side-effect of this is it puts the entire game into limbo. CoT's powerhouses have been expending themselves against the EDEN powerhouses FOR MONTHS -- and for what...? Its a war that will never end, can never end because the sides are too evenly matched and TWO are happy to let it continue as it ties both alliances up and allows TWO to do as they wish unhindered.
We know all remaining EDEN nations have open channels with member-states of other alliances. And we also know all remaining EDEN nations are aware all other remaining EDEN nations have open channels with member-states of other alliances. And yet the 'brotherhood' spiel is still wheeled out everyday despite everyone knowing everyone else is contravening alliance rules by talking to other alliances about joining...

Dead alliance is obviously dead.
So unless EDEN have some major new countries lined up to join I don't see how this is going to work any longer. Not that it is working now.
The writing was on the wall for EDEN with the demise of TERRA. They got temporary reprieve with the abortion of CTRL, but only temporary. The fix for them would have been if BrUSA chose EDEN or an EDEN-friendly alliance. They didn’t. The eUS chose Circle of Trust, and Brasil, Russia, Germany are in all likelihood going to follow in short order.
Game over, no?
I've fought for EDEN (and TERRA once upon a time) for the last 3 years and STILL fight for EDEN everyday, but the sad fact is:
EDEN is dead, even if it refuses to acknowledge the fact.
The age of TWO versus CoT is upon us.
So do something someone! Put this whole sorry episode out of its misery. Romania join TWO, or Croatia jumpship to CoT. Something, anything, so we can move the fcuk on!!

CoT vs TWO...nice joke, there is only one alliance that fights against TWO, the other is just a satellite alliance of TWO that chooses it's strategy according to what TWO wants. EDEN reminds me USA's foreign politics, you think that you know what is going to happen but you are mistaken since they do the exact opposite.
CoT in its present guise is a joke I agree, but the fact is CoTWO aren't going to ever stop attacking EDEN. And even with an intact TERRA fighting alongside EDEN a few months ago, EDEN were still giving ground to ONE/Fellowship/TWO, and now that all the big TERRA nations have declared for CoT...what chance do EDEN have!?
See the moment Greece joins TWO. MKD (CoT) will continue the fight and this means CoT vs TWO.
Regardless of your eagerness for EDEN to cease to exit, it remains very much so. EDEN countries will remain to pump the green blood of the tree through the alliance while certain unknowns are still being clarified.
What happens to China?
The Asian giant has not declared itself yet out of the alliance and yet it's role of the backbone to the alliance is still not questionable.
What of Greece?
True ally of Croats and true enemy to Macedonians. I cannot imagine their role in either alliance except the one in EDEN.
Turkey?
No one wants to have business with that kind of unpredictability. They should be alliance on their own. I'm sure not even turks know what their next move will be.
Croats, Turks and Romanians have all rejected proposals brought by their disgruntled presidents to leave the alliance, so they are still members of the same.
Apparently China just does whatever the hell it wants to do, so I don't see it backing down anytime soon.

Why ally with Eden at all?

I doubt that Eden will truly fall. It might become smaller, but it will not disappear.

EDEN is resilient. It will take a crisis to resolve this issue, to either snuff the alliance completely out or to galvanize it for a resurgence. I share your frustration in how long it is taking for the crisis to come about.

While the most powerful countries in play hurt for them, we can not resurrect the brotherhood.
The basic principle and grandiose EDEN, is that all imported alike.
Everyone deserves territories and congress but now no longer so, each country separately for help fighting without weapons or food coordination, some fighting for its bonds and other by congress. That is the main difference with the old EDEN.
Still be saved but we let our ambitions and move them unique for the good of each and every one of our brothers allies.
Keep fighting for EDEN. Let EDEN go on and survive. Let the status quo remain. For this month and another, and another. After all, Romania, Greece, Croatia... Balkan EDEN is not doing too bad. They even have extra bonuses.
If you're a canuck or from one of those forsaken and permabonked west/north european countries, just keep singing the same old song. Month after month.
Fight to save EDEN-Balkan. Furthermore, take a part in the Balkan system of alignments, one way or the other.

Agreed. But we're not talking the fail CoT of today, we're taking a CoT invested with most of the old TEDEN nations which should give it a decent HQ. The alliances as-is will never attack eachother granted, they have no reason to at the end of the day, but having the US, Germany and probably Russia and Brazil (and maybe some EDEN nations in CoT) will entirely change the dynamic with TWO. Germany are almost wiped by Poland lest we forget, and the eUS aren't gonna be able to pull a CTRL out of the hat to stop a summer invasion of their country this year, which again suggests a confrontation between CoT and TWO.
Hopefully a few countries join Asgard...

The problem has always been EDEN, they're arrogant and they are the ones keeping the ar with CoT going, not the other ay around.
Greece and Turkey refused to get back their original regions because they would not had had bonuses......they only fit in TWO, but Turkey ill never be accepted and Greece will never go because it means 3 enemies on it's borders. So these two are tied together and can't move (Greece could leave Turkey behind if they're sure TWO will dominate but right now they're not, so the situation here they kiss up to Serbia so they get less opposition is better for them)
Croatia has called brothers and then traitors just about every big country in the game, so it has nowhere to go either, selling out Bulgaria for Turkey meant that it can't join CoT in the future, they bet on the fact they can squash CoT in it's infancy however that didn't happen. Serbia could one day be open to ally with Croatia, but the reverse can never happen as long as the current elit which has been in control of the country for the past 4 years is there.
Romania is the country that can jump ship and go to TWO, they have been trying to do so for a while, but need to work on their population first, there ill be a need for an event to justify this. In return Hungary and Poland have served Bulgaria and to some extent Macedonia to them so the process is ongoing. It is much in their interests to change Turkey for Serbia and Hungary.
China is not China in essence, the actual China is nothing more then a relatively weak middle of the table country with a huge pile of gold and resources, but which would go up in smoke if they ever have a real ar for longer then 3-4 days. The rest are EDEN farms accounts which farm candy bars and only fight when the farm (China) is in danger, this leads to the impression that China never fights for it's allies. They don't really have any options infront of them until the EDEN farm accounts who hold them ransom are gone.
