In today’s article we will be discussing
-Ireland, the edge of Europe
-The eUK, how much we hate them and why
-Australia, will they ever get out from under the boot of Indonesian oppression?


Eire, The edge of Europe, a land of beauty, culture, and mystery…Oh and a bunch of people angry at the English for years of oppression, famine, and attempted cultural genocide. Now I don’t like to mix RL politics with this game, but it is important to know the history a country so that you can understand the reasoning and motives of its people. This is especially important considering the two major issues facing eIreland today one being political and the other being militarily, let’s tackle the political issue first, shall we?
For those of you who don’t know there has been a lot of trolling/flaming in the eirish media recently between two different sides, these two sides being the president and his friends/supporters, and the people who basically think that the president doesn’t deserve to exist. Now the reason for this hatred of eIrelands president , lead by a player called strangerheremyself, is based on the fact that before becoming president Irish_Rebel_Reborn was known as Padraig Pearse or PP for short, and while he was still called PP he was a troll of truly gargantuan proportions as well as a famous scammer and thief. While PP may have been all those awful things in the past there is one reason why I am on his side in this matter…HE LOVES IRELAND, and perhaps just as important HE HATES THE ENGLISH, so while he may not be the most stand up guy theres no doubt he will always be standing up for Ireland. The proof of this can be seen clearly on the world map, PP’s presidency marks the first time in 4 months where the irish were able to hold a full congress and one of the only times in erep history where Ireland was able to go on the offensive against the UK
The second and more dangerous issue facing eIreland is the ever-present threat of the eUK looming over them, and unfortunately this is the more difficult issue to solve. Ireland is a smaller country than the UK containing fewer regions, less citizens, and as a direct result of those last two they are less able field damage against the UK. Not only that but they are now embroiled in a war with eBelgium ,the reasoning behind this decision can be found here http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-belgium--1852565/1/20#comments, while attacking someone who has betrayed your trust is always someones first reaction to such a betrayal I’m not sure what this move holds for the future of eIreland. Of course there is the obvious negative of opening up another front with someone who really wasn’t causeing you that much damage but I think there may be some unexpected benefits from moves like this. Consider that eIreland has been fighting the eUK…for pretty much ever, don’t you think that would get boring after a while? Logging on day after day to a resistance war or a direct attack fighting the same battles over and over again isn’t going to get anyone excited about the game, and people who aren’t excited about the game aren’t going to go get their friends to join a game that they think has gotten boring, so maybe by spicing things up with assaults on Poland in New England, the UK in London, and Belgium in Brussels is exactly what the eIrish need to get their numbers up and out of this slump, only time will tell.

The EUK...and why we hate them, notice the emphasis that I put on the e. I have that emphasis there because I have English friends in RL and know that not all English people are elitist tools…but the ones that play this game most definitely are. Ignore for a moment that they betrayed us at the outbreak of WW3, and ignore the fact that they seem to spend more time trolling than any nation I have ever seen, and even ignore the fact that they clearly just jump ship to the most powerful alliance that will have them, instead lets focus on what they decide to spend 90% of their time and energy doing…putting down a smaller country simply because they can. Now I’m not usually one to say that people shouldn’t fight in erepublik after all what would be the point if you didn’t, but the eUk’s ceaseless invasions of eIreland are just stupid. They could focus on gaining resource bonuses and helping their allies, you know, like pretty much every other country in the game, but instead they non-stop attack regions which don’t offer them any sort of production bonus.

eAustralia…poor poor eAustralia, has the misfortune of being bordered with the country which has the 5th highest population growth/density in the entire world and being at war with them with no nearby ally nations.
and then look at Australia…
yes there are parts of Autralia so inhospitable they have no data on whether people even live there or not
I wish I could say that I thought eAustralia had a chance of being free to form their own colonies or just be free at all, but without a threat to the Indonesians that’s simply not going to happen, perhaps with time China can come to Australia’s aid but until that time comes…enjoy resistance wars Australia.
