Presidential Tax Update!

Dear Citizens,
It's not often that you see a President writing an article on tax policy, so I have taken the time to find relevant music for you: http://youtu.be/ZqK97av7I3s -please thank former President Proteus for the suggestion.
What I'm writing about today is taxes, or more specifically the New Work Tax.
As you may have read from the "Latest Updates" tab, Work Tax is a new method for the government to collect revenue from "Work as Manager" (WAM) clicks at player owned companies.
This is without a doubt one of the most significant changes to the economic module since the introduction of WAM in the first place, and there are many articles out there that do a through job analyzing it. I'd suggest reading the article by our Secretary of the Treasury, Kemal Ergenekon which you can find here.
The reason I'm adding my words to those already written is that there are a few facts I wanted to share with you Dear Citizen about this new change, and specifically, it's impact on the eAmerica right now.
First, we need to remember that eAmerica is without a Congress right now. This means that we cannot change our 25% tax rate! Unfortunately the President cannot adjust taxes and despite my best efforts submitting a support ticket, the admins denied my request for a one time tax adjustment. Do not fear though! Tax rates will most likely be adjusted shortly after our new Congress takes session on the 26th.
Second, the Economic Council (chaired by the Sec Treas) will be conducting some studies to assess the financial impact of the new tax on all players. They will be reporting back to the next Congress on their results. Presently, they've discovered a minor glitch whereby all tax revenue might not be getting back to the treasury - which I have already ticketed on their behalf.
Lastly, after we get Congress back it will be important for you to JOIN THE DEBATE so please register on the eUSAForums now so you can participate in the discussion on tax policy!

I think most people are unaware that a CP can't propose a Tax change. That was part of the explanation for why it hasn't been changed.

Ummm Mr. prez, That p.s. not Can be removed.
