Pissup and Brewery !!
castaneda
So with the majority of votes cast in todays congress elections it seems our local PTO squad and friends have 22 votes , with at least 5 of them due to get a seat and a possibility of the other 2 also gaining seats.
So what happened ?
Where was the organised anti-PTO plan we were promised ?
Where were the articles from the people in charge of this "plan" today ? (this being the day of elections)
Articles to inform the public which candidates to vote for , Most people here dont go near irc these days .
Why were all prospective TD's not asked to move to the two largest parties in Ireland days ago?
Why wern't all citizens who wanted to act as blockers asked to move to these parties too ?
In doing this voters could have been given easy instructions on who to vote for, Vote for the two parties involved only , Given the numbers involved, blockers and runners for 2 parties could easily have been organised in a few days.
Seeing the situation unfold earlier today another question has to be asked ,
Why were all current TD's not asked who had citizenship requests left , and e😜
ats asked if they could use these citizenship passes to aid in this operation ?
Two words spring to mind , Pissup and Brewery .
As in, those in charge couldn't organise one.
But dont worry Ireland , The blame will be passed along appropriately (wheres Gonzo) Cos sure as s**t those in charge will not accept any blame .
Not only did the organisation of this (the little we have seen) cause some bruhaha amongst the population of our fair isle But it FAILED , and Failed SPECTACULARLY .
Best we can hope for now is the cancelling of a lot of multi votes , however Unlikely .
I dont even want to get into the effect of leaks from the dail resulting in restricted access to all but the chosen few , the unlawful banning of citizens from the national forums.
Heres hoping lessons can be learned for next month and that enough people will stick around for round 2 .
BTW im still looking for another vote or two in dublin for those who havn't voted yet today.

Why didn't you tell the ATO to do this earlier? Weren't you against the ATO because it was "fascist" or something?
Negativity.
"BTW im still looking for another vote or two in dublin for those who havn't voted yet today." hahahahaahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha
You just ruined the VERY SLIGHT creditability of this article with that.
You are a waster. Get out of this country!
No multies here, sorry to dissapoint.
I'm selling some "British PTO 2011" novelty t-shirts if anyone wants one. 5 Gold each please.
"Why were all prospective TD's not asked to move to the two largest parties in Ireland days ago?"
Because of whinging about fascism and military rule from people like you. I don't want to fall on my sword politically just because you feckers can't stop throwing lies around.
"Why wern't all citizens who wanted to act as blockers asked to move to these parties too ?" We have run people as blockers.
Same old Castaneda, harp on about how everyone else is crap yet doesn't get off his arse and does nothing himself.
Could have acted more mature and came together with the people who have been trying to help all day, but no, he would rather spend the little time he actually is on here to go on the forums and insult everyone.
100% greatest joke of a player in the game.
>BTW im still looking for another vote or two in dublin for those who havn't voted yet today.
I will see if we can spare one for you. The message contained in this article is so honest it is damn near British. Beautiful, really. The rest of you have a lot to learn from this person.
I don't believe that the failure of this ATO was the fault of the administration. Was it the best organized ATO? No, not at all. Did the PTOers have more votes at their disposal than any of us could have know? I counted around 14 last I checked. 21 if you include OJ and IRR (which I tend not to for practical reasons).
This issue is going to start and end with immigration policy and the judgement of those true Irish who have the authority to enfranchise new citizens. Let's not pretend PTOers are easy problems, I couldn't find any good cases of countries defeating PTOers when I looked it up.
"Was it the best organized ATO? No, not at all."
I wanted to order the entire military to follow ATO orders, but decided against it because of the political problems it would cause.
Perhaps I shouldn't have given a metaphorical flying one.
Regardless, this ATO effort was less successful not because of the PTOers themselves, but because two clickers voted for the enemy. Regardless, we have had a plan for this ever since we realised that we probably couldn't stop all of them.
The only way to beat a PTO is everyone unites. The old parties need to be forgotten about and EVERYONE work together. I would work with anyone, including Castaneda to get the job done. I will bet he would not work with me though. He spent the weeks running upto this doing everything he could to cause arguments and division(just like his buddy Gonzo). This article is yet another indication of the vendettas he holds(again, much like Gonzo). I wouldn't be surprised if he and Gonzo are the same person.
I propose that hurrrrr and durrrrrrrr
And to be fair to Brian Boru, people which I had never seen before were going onto the irc relating to the ATO. In the end we simply didn't have a chance due to the two-clickers.
The Brits put a lot of effort into it and tbh, things are likely only to get more difficult from now on :/
We will send 4 votes to you, Castaneda. You WILL go to the ball!
I would like to hear more answers to the points raised in this article and fewer attacks on the guy who wrote it please.
The BCH thanks all of our voters, and will endeavour to act on our promises.
Thats great. Castaneda has a plan. Next month he can run it and do the business instead of being a hurler on the ditch.
Castaneda is right. The ATO attempt was a a miserable failure, Ireland is highly probable to be lost to the Brits within a few months.
Stranger, we expected an outcome like this without full military coordination.
We have had a plan to deal with it for the past two weeks 😛
@Keiller
"I would like to hear more answers to the points raised in this article and fewer attacks on the guy who wrote it please"
My attacks contain 100% truth.
And Boru has already given the answers. The reasons those things WERE not done was because of the constant shouts about "Democracy" etc, most of the shouting coming from the author of this article and his buddies.
IBhoy, Castaneda is not the issue.
Was the ATO effort really watered down because of public squeamishness and that BB didn't want to fall on his political sword? I wonder what James Connolly and Che Guevara would say to that.
The Democratic deficit issue was not the big problem anyway. The decision to single out Gonzo and not the others was a mistake and that's what kicked off the storm.
We can do better. We need to do better.
Can we just drop the whole "democracy" issue. Democracy had been just implemented in an awful way for this game so all you do call this game a Democratic game? 😛
"Stranger, we expected an outcome like this without full military coordination."
Oh, I didn't know you're French. Wave the white flag next time.
What I've taken from this is BB shouldn't be in charge of any ATO attempt.
I do love how BB keeps saying 'we have a plan for this' without actually telling us what the plan is or how it will be implemented, is this something that will just be told to the Government and former ICA members?
"constant shouts about "Democracy" etc, most of the shouting coming from the author of this article and his buddies."
That did happen.
A lot of people have been going on about a "military state" and so on.
This kind of conversation is p pointless however, it doesn't take a genius to realise that the ATO failed, heck even Cast realised 😛
But we shouldn't be looking for blame or to hang people out, what happened was pretty simple. The PTO'rs mailed all the two clickers,
the ATO'rs on the other hand made a load of articles(under much criticism for effecting democracy) and collaborated with all the Party presidents. Half way through the day and the PTO'rs had sadly already won, we learn, we move on and we get the job done next time.
There were obstructions to the ATO this time, maybe next time we'll all be a bit more receptive to these necessary drastic plans. 🙂
Everything under control....nothing to see here, move on please
"My attacks contain 100% truth."
You gotta get your head out your ass one of these days.
Also, I was wondering....isnt it more effective to combat the PTO BEFORE the actual election day: i.e.: Making sure that every party has enough candidates that Party Presidents can simple chose NOT to have PTOers run?
[removed]
I know I'm being very critical, but seriously...
"u mad brah?"
I am Rather 😛
@Starkad
Did you^ put your name forward to be a blocker? We most likely didn't have the numbers to do that, and most likely because people like yourself didn't come forward. If ya didn't come forward then it would only be hypocritical to complain about that.
Also, I think your the one suffering from head-up-ass if you cannot take a little sarcasm lightly. Away ya tool.
Gotta admit that sarcasm is pretty damn impossible to spot over the internet Ibhoy.
@Connell
You are jumping to assumptions. I dont even know where the different frontiers in irish politics are to be found, and i spend far too little time on this game to even want to get involved. My question was pretty straight forward. For the next ATO, we should focus on preventing it beforehand....we probably require less people to block PTO candidates, than trying to keep them out of congress by trying to have every candidate have more votes than them.
On that note: Lets reinstate the natural enemy state with Canada: This will a) give us extra strength because of the added training bonus, and b) give us the opportunity to pass on irish regions to canada for a few days over every election to reduce the amounts of candidates needed to block a PTO.
I just read what's in front of me, I don't assume anything
If you proclaim to not be involved in the game at all, then maybe it would be best if you were to no make statements on whether or not any work was done before the election or not. While at it, maybe you should try not to comment on the personal traits of people who do a lot of work for eIreland.
ATO failed, but less of the political BS
Starkad, I agree with you 100% man. That is, imo the most effective way of doing it. Which is why I wish some of the people here who have good ideas, wouldn't only shout about them after the carnage. It's useless. If you had spoken to me beforehand you would know that I would have preferred to get the work done before election day. However with the numbers that came forward, that wasn't possible.
3-4 top rated articles appealed for people to put their names forward on a form to run as blockers. I had intended to PM it to every truested Irish citizen, but I had real-life commitments. Also I was not part of running the ATO but I was still willing to helpo as much as I could. There was nothing stopping any citizen that cared sending PMs. Castaneda could have done it. You could have done it. Anyone could have. To shoot people down over this is not going to help. These PTOers thrive on us having divisive public arguments(poor eejits think they are the actual cause of it and that we wouldn't be at each others throats everyday anyway) and over-reaction in the first place is what created enough distractions that we do not have time to focus on the job at hand. Castaneda is doing nothing but continuing this trend. If we have a month like we did last time, we might as well all move out of the country now and forget it because it will be a lost cause.
Also, if you spoke to me more often you would know me well enough to know what is sarcastic and what is not.
lads back off cas for a sec here
what he is sayin is basicaly true
we tryed an ATO and we droped the ball due to many things
it happens
why not stop the blame game and get on with some damage limitation ?
or at least just let it go and move on
my 2 cents 😛
Binksy it's Cas that is the one blaming people. Yet done nothing himself.
I really do love how Starkad, Kavrocks and Cast come out of nowhere to moan and critise people who ARE actually doing something no matter how poor it is.
Please read Kavrocks' "info" - http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/2001467
im not sayin anyone is right or wrong here dude
what im sayin is EVERYONE need to let it slide
ya get me ?
strength in numbers,numbers through unity
dam that was a lil bet of genius if i do say so myself haha
@OJ, I lolled
I am not critizising anyone, jeez stop being so damn touchy. Consider my idea, or not....its up to you if you love this country enough to jump over your own shadow.
Also I am coming out of "nowhere" because it is Saturday, one out of two days a week that i actually do have time to read the news and get myself involved....the rest of the week, I work.
@Ibhoy
If you make questionable statements in public, you gotta be prepared if the public doesnt understand that you didnt mean it....there is no irony smiley.
As far as the "getting to know you" part is concerned....I can only reach out and extend that invitation back to you. My ideas and suggestions have been shot down for months based on the fact that I am not part of the "gang" by people that are so insecure, immature and/or arrogant they have driven eIreland to the edge of non-existance....and so far I counted you amongst those people.
So if you wanna chat, lets chat
We didn't PM anyone. How about you all stop this business of naming us TO this and TO that, and just accept us as glorious and helpful Irish citizens?
Please continue, this is pretty delicious.
WILL YOU ALL SHUT UP AND STOP THE INFIGHTING?
Who is the real enemy here? Is it castaneda? Is it Brian Boru? NO! It's the friggin' PTOers. I'm just as upset as everyone else that we failed. Even more so because I wasted my votes on this failed attempt and didn't even get a single vote myself. If I had just said "screw you," I could have gotten some friends to vote for me and I could be in congress right now. But I didn't do that. Despite that, I'm gonna make the best of it. So all of you shut up and look to the future instead of bickering about what's done.
^ well said ^
Funny how it never occurs to those in power that the ATO efforts may have failed because the general population has grown tired of their heavy handed tactics to silence any opposition and their efforts to establish eIreland as a military oligarchy.
Perhaps, just perhaps, the electorate saw the Bremen Clubhouse gents as the lesser of two evils.
Just food for thought.
And castenada -- You'd better watch what you say out loud. I see you becoming the next candidate for an illegal forum vote and a ban.
jeez that^ fella talks some manure
Nice copy pasta from your shitty article, Peter.
