Ok, so this is a reminder to pay up. You've got plenty of options so don't be shy. There will be more packs soon but make sure you buy the ones that are on offer now.
Remember look away from things like homelessness in your country. Your time and money assisting those less fortunate will prevent you from spending as much on Gold packs; which would be an injustice.
Syria refugees? Syria isn't even in erepublik wtf are you talking about? It is not like they have experienced the injustice of a PTO. Move on!
Use your money to support campaign groups that seek to stop things that will damage the world like TTIP or global warming? Please... the real world is not as important as getting more Gold to stop the latest nation coming to invade your eHomeland or eHomeland's empire. Fear not! If you have maxed out the packs, you can still access more Gold on the 'Gold and special items' page. Ahhh phew! All is right with the world.
Remember RL is sh*t so lets not try to improve the world, the lives of others or our own lives. Happy spending.

In real life, yes. In the game it is quite pathetic. In RL you earn money, make smarter investments to make more. In the game, if you spend burger money and delude yourself that you have great power... there is nothing more middle class than that.

I miss fighting without packs, once you get hooked up, it is hard to stop :/
