Kia ora Kiwis!

As you all know, we are now moving from the dead spot and we have more wars, stabile MPP's (for now), but in order to move more and develop as a Country, we need your help!

This article is first of series of articles, in where we will talk and we will I hope get to the solution all together and we will decide for our future.

This article will be about our Finance and we need help to make important decision.
Firstly, I need to say that our income is very very low, and biggest income was and will be from renting our regions (I say regions because we was renting Otago, and now that's Auckland).
We have only few ways to raise our income, so logically that's Taxes!

So now we can have debate about it.
Biggest income is from VAT Tax, but it's a two edged sward, that's why we need your help.
If we raise VAT on Weapons (I have to say that our VAT @ food is already at maximum 25😵, weapon prices will rise considerably, so it's a danger for ppl to stop buying at our market. Already a lot of them stop buying because we raised alraedy VAT at 10%, we had lower prices but it was lower income ofc.
So we have three options:
1st. to leave it like this, and we have to ask everyone not to buy at cheaper markets.
2nd. to raise our VAT, we will not have foreign buyers at all, but if all our citizens buy at our market we can see results.
3rd. to lower our VAT. Here we have two options as well in it.
a) along with this change to raise our import tax for couple percents.
b) to have import tax at 1%, and more sellers will come here.

for 3rd option I have to say, if we have good sellers here, we can protect our market just raising import tax for couple percents, but if we do not have we need foreign sellers to keep prices low or this all idea can be dropped under the bus 🙂

All other ways are pretty much useless, such as Income tax, Minimum wage ... but Import tax can be good addition but only with the smart combination with VAT.

Let's open discussion, let's hear you all, but it doesn't mean we will change something right away, it just the way to hear all other opinions, maybe something smart will born from this 🙂

Regards,

Mr.T.
