progressive restructuring of coaching
At the Ministry of R&C we recently talked about the idea of implementing a more pro-active form of coaching.
Currently all new newborns get a message from the Min. of R&C with some background info and handy links to guides, the forum, and our coaching program. We believe this approach is succesfull, and want to make a Dutch translation for optimal communication to newborns. We are currently not sending welcome messages into the Belgian regions due to the fact it is quite a delicate matter to spread information there. When the regions are in full control again of the rightfull owners, we can continue our efforts also there.
Our main problem is that in the welcome message this application for the coaching programme is still quite voluntairy, and we hardly get any applications in, so we will never generate enough work for our now great team of 13 coaches.
Our plan is to apply a coach to every newborn citizen!.
And let either the headcoach or the coaches contact the newborn personally a.s.a.p.
This will create a umbillicalcord for newborns to the community, via which they can be raised into that community. The head of coaching will play an important role in gathering status-updates from all coaches, whom ofcourse are in the workfield and have the vital information about who is active and who not. Offcourse this will require quite some extra effort from our coaches and probably especially from our headcoach.
We believe that these effort will not be in vain, and increase the ammount of people becoming (pro-)active in the eUNL community.
Something which will benefit us all in the long run, and makes our experience in this community way more enticing.
So we hope to count on your support in this new policy, then we together can work out the details together here on this forumthread.
other R&C news: I recently opened a congress discussion on getting a new domainname for our (new) babyboom-site, I´d like to get your support on this matter too.

Voted! As a coach myself, I see how useful the system is, but it would be even more valuable if ALL new citizens are being contacted by a coach.

I wish I had a coach when I joined a month ago, so I think it's a good idea and help new people not to get lost and quit the game early.
