EDM, just a DJ with a laptop? Oohhh, okay...

Saw this posted a little while ago...
Oohhh really....

Tomorrowland in Belgium, where people from 214 countries came together.
...that's more countries than the Olympics (204).

EDC Las Vegas 2013, home of the world's largest stage.

EDM festivals have some of the largest and most elaborate stages.

EDM is about music and visuals...but most of all, it's a community. EDM brings people together unlike any other genre of music out there (from my experience). No matter your race, religion or sexuality.

They have to blow stuff up and spew smoke everywhere because the guy on stage is literally just pushing a button and (poorly) dancing.

And he's the least important person in the production.

Depends on the show. Lot of DJs do live shows where they're mixing live. Porter Robinson does this and it's fucking beautiful.
