Libs Manufacture a Political Controversy

Tag 1,126, 22:25 von Alexander Hamilton

This election seems to have taken an ugly turn. PigInZen our vice-president has released an article slamming the USWP, Federalist Party, and UIP over the organization of blocker for this months congressional election. The issue at hand is that Claire Littleton has been appointed as chair of the FEC which has been tasked in the past with keeping tabs on party’s blocker candidates, the FEC Chair is supposed to be neutral. Claire Littleton however is a prominent member of the Libertarian party, a stark departure from the more reserved and well respected Rod Damon (who preceded her). There have been questions swirling about her ability to remain impartial and concerns over Lib snipers. While nobody is questioning the ability of the USWP and Federalist Party’s ability to place enough blockers; politicians like PigInZen seem to be making political hay over the party’s protests with the FEC’s impartiality.

PigInZen’s article contains very incendiary language, basically calling the USWP, Feds, and UIP un-patriotic for their refusal to turn over their congressional lists to Ms. Littleton. While I hesitate to speculate on his motives, there seems to be a political subtext that praises the Libs at the expense of Parties that have long been net suppliers of blockers for the FEC. I think that PigInZen and his fellow Libs are manufacturing a controversy or at least blowing the situation out of proportion.

It seems that in the absence of the Revolution/Counter-Revolution theme the Libertarians have resorted to underhanded political theater to move votes. I think this may be a bit much but I fear that the political bickering that is ensuing over the demands of the Libertarian FEC Chair for lists of blockers and congressional candidates is poisoning the historically non-partisan nature of the eUS Congress. I hope that this situation does not jeopardize our security and I don’t think we should be playing politics with the FEC. I mean what are we the eUK?

Respectfully submitted,

Hehe, I mean no offense by this at all but if your talking about partisanship and not being a part of it don't throw the whole Lib party under the bus

I'll restate my comment from Pigs article. The USWP has listed that all our states are filled and we have since given an entire list of people who signed up to be candidates (scroll down the fec sheet). You can now run backgrounds if you want, but there is no need for us to give every single detail so early and show where our candidates are placed.

Wow, this totally makes sense. It's obvious the Libs are seizing on an opportunity to make a storm.

Wait a second, PigInZen (the usually non-partisan VP) writes the first public article declaring this, and the Libertarians are manufacturing the controversy?

You're not hesitating to speculate, you're expectorating.

The irony is not lost on me that you of all people being responsible for the congressional freeze last month would make an article like this.

I can only come to the conclusion that they (the parties involved) find fault in the standard practices of the FEC itself.

Run it through congress or stop blowing out hot air.

Claire Littleton

I love how you can turn around what 3 parties planned against the Libertarians to make it look like the Libertarians fault. Well done, you guys should run for politics in real life.

Relorian
Relorian Tag 1,127, 00:37

The simplest solution would be to have Claire step down and to replace her with someone with a less politically active/domination past in place. That way the FEC cant play favorites and the elections continue to be semi fair and free for all.

Tiamati
Tiamati Tag 1,127, 04:08

The Simplest solution is to continue as planned; While the Director of FEC plays a major role in Legislature Elections, it will be up to the eCitizenry to Maintain Congressional Purity. There is no germane reason to change the rules of the Game before the round has Finished.

The Tech's Support Ms. Littleton's role as FEC director for the remainder of this Cycle. For VP to even comment on this matter speaks poorly of Inter Party Politics.

I support Claire Littleton as the FEC chairperson. Rod Damon was not exactly Mr. Uninvolved himself. Seems like every-time I turned around he was supporting s.e.e.s. for one thing or another. She is also right about the three parties, one of which lead the charge to freeze the elections for the PTo of Russia, turning it around on the Libertarians when they joined together to PTo the Libertarians and failed miserably.

meh, if all the parties cooperate too much it gets boooring. Maybe a little more partisanship will spice things up.

PigInZen
PigInZen Tag 1,127, 04:47

Claire said she'd step down. I don't understand what the point is to this and what your angle is here Hamilton. It's really simple for the parties involved to just commit to cooperating over the party lists and with the FEC. The real question is WHY AREN'T THEY?

pig you're embarrassing yourself, claire stepping down has not a single thing to do with my issue with the FEC. My party is running a surplus of blockers, we're only getting more. If the FEC can show me that they've improved and give me a list of 15 blockers they've found, they'll get who I'm selecting on the 24th.

I'm cooperating with other parties, I've got a nice list, if the FEC has become able to find blockers I'll collaborate with them too.

You have just ignited the eUSA hatred in the eTR community with your recent forum post. Calling our republic's founder a jerk was unnecessary and uncalled for.

Now I see you talking about other people's incendiary language etc., how fancy.

I am hoping you will get a permanent ban because of what you just did.
