החודש האחרון בקונגרס הייתה רכבת הרים. שוב נעדרתי כשהייתי הצביעו לתוך הכנסת החמיצה ההצבעה על כמה הצעות.

אז הכול היה שקט, לזמן מה, עד לבחירת נשיא חדש.

עד מהרה את ההמולה לקראת מלחמה עם איחוד האמירויות הערביות, היה דיון קטן על פורומים ידי הכנסת אך נראה היה כי הוקס רק היו מעוניינים בקבלת הערות שם. דברים דומים נעשו על התקשורת עם בני אדם הגיוני או מכובד כמה ואמר כי המלחמה הייתה רעיון גרוע.

איחוד האמירויות הציע לישראל בתור אויב טבעי.

This latest month in congress has been a rollercoaster. Again I was away when I was voted into the Knesset and missed voting on a couple of proposals.

Then all was quiet, for a while until the election of a new president.

Soon came the clamour for a war with the UAE, there was a small discussion on the forums by the Knesset but it seemed that only Hawks were interested in making comments there. Similar comments were being made across the media with few sensible or respected persons saying that the war was a bad idea.

The UAE proposed Israel as a Natural Enemy.

"Fortune Favours The Bold" as the saying goes. I proposed the UAE as a Natural Enemy. At this point government members started to say this was a bad thing, however in the next 24 hours 77% of the Knesset agreed with my proposal and we were at war.

The war ended a few days later with clever manoeuvring by the government to both loose a useless province and remove any borders with the UAE by loosing a resistance war with Saudi Arabia. This war has been nicknamed the "Beagle War" by some quarters of the eIDF due to my starting it and being very involved in the dissemination of the orders that led to its end.

In hindsight I may have been rash in starting the war, however it did provide a lot of interest for those involved which is part of the fun of the game. In future I will try and consult more on proposals and urge all sections of our society to spend more time on IRC and the forums. We should all to realise that the new media system within the game is likely to reduce the number of readers for our articles rather than increase them. This makes the IRC and Forums even more important.

The rest of the month has been comparatively quiet although I have noted an increase in the Hebrew media within the country which is great to see, but more English translations please!
