Know your allies: Germany

Day 2,349, 11:38 Published in Ireland Cuba by Harrilal

As part of the eIrish MoFA competition, I was going to get short interviews from all members of Group B. Sadly, due to the lack of responses, I can only put up one from eGermany. Thus, with an article I do not feel is up to competition standards, I withdraw from the competition. That said, here is the interview I did manage to get:

As some of you may know, I have always had a little soft spot for eGermany (forgive the outdated links and formatting). So, when the eIrish MoFA challenged us to learn more about our allies, I decided to tackle the group that contained eGermany!

eGermany's current MoFA Laura Andreea was gracious enough to take time out of her undoubtedly busy schedule to answer a few questions about eGermany. Please note that the answers are mainly matters of opinion. I could have gotten completely different answers from other eGermans.

Who are the 5 most influential people in eGermany?
I would say BadMax, Dermont, Ilphen, n0s3, and Slayer(Lord Tywin)

What is the most significant event that took place in the country during your eLife?
Until now no one was such a great impact or something like this, i really hope that soon we can have a big event, so we just need to wait for what will bring the future

How does eGermany view eIreland (in the past and present)?
There was never that much of an opinion about eIreland, but we are really happy that at this moment we are allies, we are part of the same alliance and that's good for our future relations, also we are happy to see that eIrleand is doing a great job being an ally and a part of Aurora alliance.

Name one paper, besides your own, that every foreigner should read to keep abreast of events in eGermany?
I would say "MY LOOKOUT" the newspaper of Yosemite Sam01

What is the traditional greeting and farewell in Germany. Both in real life and in eRepublik.
Traditional greetings/farewells, well nothing special I guess, in eRepublik we don't use to have something like this.*
*Editor's note: Hallo and guten tag are two simple greetings. Auf wiedersehen
and servus are two simple farewells (according to my German neighbour).

If you are not from Germany IRL, what drew you to it in eRepublik?
WELL I AM NOT GERMAN IN REAL LIFE, I WANT TO THANKS TO MMMaster for the help with this questions, at same time i want to add that eGermany have a great community, with very nice people, they really know what the respect is and this is what i like more and this is the reason for which i am here with them, helping in all i can...

Who are three German national heroes in real life?
Well to be honest we don' t really cultivate 'national heroes' as most nations are doing

What are the country's 2 most loved meals / snacks / foods ?
Bratwurst, beer

What is a local ghost story that children of Germany like to tell?
I really don't know

What two destinations should I visit if I was to go to Germany?
First you should go to see Berlin, of course in all the country you have something to see, maybe Munich, if you wanna see Industrial Culture and Football, go to the Ruhrarea...

Do you find the atmosphere (political/social) in eRepublik is similar to the atmosphere in real life Germany?
I'd say that there are some few similarities, mainly the apathy regarding politics, but else there is no actual connection!

Thanks very much to Laura, again. All the best to eGermany and her people!

How do you even? Ask Harrilal!
How it works: I take the first five (5) questions asked in the previous article's comment section and answer them however I see fit.
RtK asked one long question, but as editor, I had to make the hard call and split it into four so it would look like I actually got 5 questions. Ha!

Releasethe Krakken asks, "Didn't I ask you a question in your last article."
Alas, you did not. Though, I did answer your question from two articles ago in the last article. Unless it's a trick question and you counted the Daniel Plainview article as my last article in which case, yes you did.

Releasethe Krakken asks, "If you had to place an age restriction on bongs what would it be and why"
In my country, 18. It's the age of majority in Trinidad, so that's what I go by. For other countries, I would place the restriction at their ages of majority. Any form of smoking, alcohol and drug use should be done by adults.

Releasethe Krakken asks, "Is much cannabis produced in Jamaica."
Jamaica is a small island, whereas some countries like Mexico, Australia, India, Afghanistan and other prime marijuana growing regions have much larger stretches of land where they can plant (not legally, but still larger areas than Jamaica). Then there are places with legal marijuana farms (states of Oregon and Colorado, for example) who have large areas devoted to legal cultivation (as well as the people still growing illegally).

So, in comparison to those places, no. However, that is not to say that there is not a sizable amount produced in Jamaica. I can't quote numbers, but I know Jamaica does produce a decent amount... just less than their larger cannabis producing counterparts.

Releasethe Krakken asks, "Would you legalize it.?"
Absolutely. Prohibition of marijuana is a failure and wastes the time and effort of law enforcement that could be better spent on more pressing issues.

John Gormley asks, "This counts as a question just because I put a question mark at the end?"
Yes indeed. It does. I take questions of all sorts. Go back a few articles (and even in this one) and you will see I answer questions that have no punctuation or end in periods!

And that’s five!
Remember folks! The first five (5) questions asked in the comments of this article, will be answered in my next article!
Thanks for reading!
