Irony in Politics
ChievoKevin
Before I begin my article, let me make it clear that I am fully aware that all countries mentioned below have the letter e appended before their names, and thus are simply pixels on the screen, numbers in a database, and nothing to do with reality. But since we are playing this game seriously, our play-acting is serious as well.
Anybody who was interested in the affairs of eTurkey, eIran or eArmenia saw this article yesterday. It was the NAP and rental agreement between eTurkey and eiran.
NAP and Rental Agreement with eIran [EN][TR]
Interestingly enough, eArmenia was part of this agreement, without being a participant (at least as far as I know).
Now, a bit of history, before we get to the irony of the situation.
Three months ago this natural enemy proposal against Turkey was given. As usual for the opposition party, this was a troll proposal, with no chance of passing, not having enough votes. Unfortunately, unlike previous times, eTurkey decided to take this troll law seriously, and proposed their own NE, which immediately passed. It was explained away as “punishment” for the trolls, which, on the face of it, is nonsense. Everybody realized it was a pretext: “we can do it, we want to do it, so we will do it”.
Knowing the disparity between the population of the two countries, it was not surprising that eArmenia was wiped without any effort by eTurkey. Subsequent Resistance Wars were totally without effect, until this week, when the Resource Wars event took eTurkey’s attentions elsewhere, and they decided to give up eArmenia.
So far, so good, eh?
Not Quite.
Behind the scenes, the current agreement between eTurkey and eIran was being drafted, whereby, among other things, eArmenia was being left to eIran, in exchange for other territories.
In principle, I agree that Nations, even eNations, don’t have any friends, only interests so the agreement in itself was not surprising. (please note that I have had the fortune, or misfortune, depending on your point of view, of seeing Henry Kissinger in action, so I know how realpolitik works).
Now, let us get back to the original invasion pretext: the NE law that supposedly enrage eTurkey, and who gave it:
AMIRKABIR72, hero of two of the last 4 NE's, and rezaderaz, another giver of NE's.
Just so that nobody corrects me, I will willingly admit that 2 persons do not represent a whole country …
BUT
Getting peeved at us (not to use a stronger word) for what two Iranians did, and then gift the country to Iran?
Ironic, don’t you think?
Edit: One final irony of this matter, which I later thought should be included ... One of the co-signatories of this article, the foreign minister of eTurkey, Machiavelli, was the first and third president of eArmenia. Good job, mate

Machiavelli was supported by you. Another example of irony
Yes he was ... and?
He is not part of Armenia now.
Irony aside though, for a moment, ignore this agreement, and think of Iranian attack by itself. How different would it have been? Are we able to defend? I do not see many Armenians rushing to defend our territories.
At that time, I did my best to have friendly relations with our strongest neighbour, and I would do the same now if there was any opportunity.
and what about promised baby-boom for example? You were member of his goverment and told the same about relations with Turkey. I see results: Armenia sold.
Baby Boom was wishful thinking. All that was done about it was give a test in Armenian to the game admins who put (or did not put) adverts in who knows where.

They would have wiped us even without the N.E. laws, they just needed an excuse.
Didn't you see the word "pretext" there?

I was wondering if somebody will notice this.
The other interesting fact: this awfullawful agreement was signed by ex armenian cp from your party. No comment on that?
Signed? or arranged by? But getting into that subject would make this a book, not article.
On further thought, that little fact should have been mentioned, even if briefly; thank you
And of course Loland supporting Iranian war, where are the lolish now? they suddenly disappeared 😃
Voted.
But over this three months this pretext, as well as whole situation, have much changed. I will comment also on that topic in my article in few days.
My aim was at the "pretext" for starting, not the continuation. That is a whole different can of worms.

Politics is a dirtz game , in RL and ingame.
It is left on us to do as much problems as we can in this two side agreement.
And good played by Machiavelli. He sure justify his nick.
Vote was mainly for the last phrase.
Oh, at least he voted (his) second NE proposal. Someone should inform casper that there's not any active Competition of Stupidity. He is the winner, anyway.
Bravo 😃
