On behalf of the Irish Independence Party I would like to thank everyone who supported our candidates in the recent Congress Elections. The IIP has had a good election, increasing its share of Congress from 25% to 32.5% of seats. We have a strong group of Independent TD’s looking forward to playing a constructive part in Irish political life over the coming month.

Congratulations and good luck to all those who were successful in this election and commiserations to the many fine candidates who were unlucky this time around. Your day will come.
