Introducing the Party of the New Lunar Republic

I am here today to announce to you the beginning of a new party: The Party of the New Lunar Republic.

Now what exactly is the “New Lunar Republic?”

Well, in case you didn’t notice from the logo, it originates from Pony Fandom. The New Lunar Republic is a fan made concept that is opposite of the “Solar Empire”, another fan-made concept. The Lunar Republic wages war against the so-called tyranny of the Solar Republic in order to bring down the monarch and create a new and just republic.

While we aren’t necessarily asserting that the USA is controlled by a tyrant or tyrannous group, we are trying to help perfect our own republic in this game. We want the best for the USA, it’s community, and it’s allies.

In order to do that, these are the established principles of the party:

- EVERYPONY WELCOME, EVERYPONY LOVED
- Work for a more open and stable government
- America Comes First
- Maintain Party Sovereignty
- Help to create a positive political environment
- Be Tolerant. Don't be a D*ck.
- Have Fun! This is a game!



“That sounds nice and all, but what does it all mean?”

EVERYPONY WELCOME, EVERYPONY LOVED

- Everyone is welcome to join our party! New and old, goldbeasts and commune workers alike! Everyone is equal and equally respected. No one will be turned away or banned, so long as they are respectful and tolerant of one another.

Work for a more open and stable government

The country is currently divided on a lot of things, from foreign affairs, to how we conduct ourselves internally.

The Party of the New Lunar Republic is focused on stable policy and advocating for the openness of the American government. This includes but is not limited towards advocating for: debating the budget in public, keeping a public spreadsheet of government finances and expenditures, and declassifying old debates in a timely manner.

America Comes First

Simply put, the good of the nation comes before everything else! This includes the good of the party, or it’s individuals.

Nothing is more important than the good of our countrymen!

Maintain Party Sovereignty

Our party will make it’s own decisions, independent of anyone else’s influence or bidding. We are an independent party, that seeks to remain as such. We will not infringe on the sovereignty of other parties, and we expect that no one will infringe on the sovereignty of our own party.

Help to create a positive political environment

Those of us here in the NLR have witnessed parties and individuals relentlessly criticize and hold grudges against other people and parties for a long time. The people of this party refuse to partake in the public defamation of people and parties.

Criticism is certainly welcome and needed, but defamation, slander, grudges and personal attacks are not. It is counter-productive and creates unnecessary drama, causing problems in the political system and repelling citizens from being active in our nation or joining with us altogether.

Be Tolerant. Don't be a D*ck.

This is exactly as it sounds. People will have different and possibly bizzarre/fringe ideas or theories. You can refute them and debate with them all day long. However, don’t attack them and insult them over their beliefs or opinions.

Don’t be a d*ck about it. There is a real person behind that avatar (or usually, at least...).

Have Fun! This is a game!

Always remember that this is a game! Many times, players get too caught up in the drama of the community and forget that this is a game. Don’t let this game be taxing and painful!
