In the "Old World"

Pony was everything.

In the land that we call the “New World”, we find ourselves alone, constantly battling one another across the globe. Wars rage, empires are built, and nations are crushed. So is the way of our society, the way of this brave “New World”. We are taught that bonuses and damage equate to power and glory, and various nations must be cast aside in pursuit of it.

Bitter hatred consumes our peoples. Nation war without end, simply due to eternal conflicts. Regions have become battleground of disputes that originate outside of the “New World” between various nations, ethnicities and creeds.

We see these tragedies unfold before us day after day. Nations are suffer under the boot of others, an iron rod pinning them to the ground. Countries lie to each other for their own benefit. People lie and deceive, presidents stealing treasuries and ruining the people they were elected to serve.

Yet, things were not always like this. In the “Old World”, things were much different.

People had not yet been made manifest in the “Old World.” The world was populated instead, by a hooved people. Four legged, candy colored creatures of equine origins were the denizens of this world. Except for a the occasional ne'er-do-wells, all was peaceful in the “Old World.” Everypony learned to love and tolerate one another, bringing peace and prosperity to their world.

There was no war, no thievery, no bitter hatred, nor animosity. There were no enemies, no suspicions.

An Age of Pony swept over the earth, and joy in it’s wake.

Instead of weaponry and deception, they used love and tolerance to conquer others, assimilating them into their Empire. Doing so, they conquered the world. All was Pony and Pony was all.

Pony was Everything.

All creatures lived in harmony amongst Pony. Pony lorded over all, loving and tolerating it; keeping it safe. They were the superior beings of the earth, without equal.

Thus the Age of Pony was established, and the prosperity of the Old World begun.
