JAPANMAX!
... Jerk 😣
Perhaps it says more about your Foreign policies than it does other nations,...lol
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Yeah, I suppose you're right...Survival of the fittest is it? Still, I don't see the politics in occupying a nation like eJapan.
Which leaves resources...and I hope eUSA did not throw us under the bus for our very limited resources. I would believe our long standing friendship to be worth more than a single region... but it looks like I am wrong...
(╥﹏╥)
Hey At least we didn't nuke you again! That's something you can be happy about.
Thats horrible 😣
I'm sorry but this is totally unnaceptable. Bringing a RL event that caused massive death into the game is something no one should do. At least have some respect.
Hey At least we didn't bomb the harbor of a neutral country, force pilots to crash their planes into boats, train women and children to slaughter American citizens and soldiers, Impale POW's on bamboo, preform horrible genetic experiments of POW's and innocent citizens without even giving them Anastassia, Torture lots of people, force defeated soldiers to commit seppuku, etc... So yeah Dropping an atom bomb on two cities that were practically military bases to prevent the lose of millions of citizens and soldiers and the complete destruction of japan was nothing compared to what the Japanese did.
Liam, the point George is making is that this is a game. If I really wanted to talk about people dying in war, I'd read a history book. Cut that rl shit out mate. It's unacceptable in our game community.
I understand but keep in mind that you speak at your own initiative and have no right to go blame me for what you talk about you don't need to comment here and could just easily ignore it
Liam, in a war both sides are evil. Think about that. And have in mind that my comment was mainly about the fact you're bringing real life in a game to sort of attack someone else from another nation. That is what is unnaceptable and it is what I was trying to tell you.
Yes I Know it was bad and I wasn't trying to attack anyone to be honest I was just trying to makeup for the offensive joke I made
Trying to make up for an offensive joke by being more offensive? Please Liam, please remember that you represent EZC by wearing the uniform and the eUS while you hold CS, don't stoop to acting like a Serb.
We're friends with Japan RL, and the only reason we're not always friends in-game is because Japan has a significant PTO population. Hard to work with a PTO-filled nation and we gave up on helping them beat it a while ago. Japan is on its own for now because there's too many malicious sorts but there are also good people, just let it be.
Liam, you obviously have a strong opinion on the matter, but I would like to encourage you to consider things from the Japanese perspective, before and during the war. Your opinion is heavily ignorant and biased, as is understandable, but there are two sides to the matter.
Without a doubt the Japanese committed war crimes in China and Korea. However, we cannot ignore the criminality of the American bombings, both nuclear and otherwise, that targeted solely civilians. The Japanese were more than willing to negotiate peace but due to the Americans fear of losing face, as they vowed they would only accept unconditional surrender, hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians were killed by constant bombings, which escalated to the use of the atom bombs.
The Japanese saw the emperor as divine and many gladly sacrificed for him, men women and children alike. Its fascinating really, you should look into the matter further than what the US feeds you. There is and was an abundance of propaganda on both sides, but just because the US won the war does not mean all their crimes are null and void.
Neither the US nor Japan operated ethically, war brings out the worst of mankind. I won't defend the Japanese crimes, but those crimes don't justify more crimes against humanity. Much less mocking the victims...
And I know many of you don't want to bring real world problems into the game, I apologize for that.
"bombing the harbor of a neutral country" Not really. We were hardly a neutral country. FDR pushed with all his ability to bring us into World War 2. The actions of FDR such as restricted trade and oil embargos left Japan with little choice but to attack us. After all we had been economically attacking them. Thousands of American soldiers lost their lives due to FDR and Morgenthau pulling the United States into a war that we had no business being involved in. Hell Germany didn't want war with us either until we forced it on them.
Well I would be willing to debate the other side of the topic but considering how many more people it would offend and as kortanul stated I have a duty to fill while wearing this uniform I won't also I apologize to anybody I offended.
@morningBlur Their is something called an logical fallacy look them up (I was exhibiting the Texas sharpshooter)
Sorry but the japs deserved what they got for pulling that surprise attack
Surprise? Rather, a retaliatory strike. As morningblur pointed out, the attack can hardly be called a "surprise". 6 months before the attack America seized all Japanese assets in the united states (and the UK did the same), both corporate and government assets. An act of war even by today's standards.
This shut down 3/4 of all Japanese foreign trade as well as about 90% of imported oil. On top of that the Americans were gearing up for war and supplied the allied powers with weapons and equipment. The "surprise" was only to the politically ignorant and, in modern times, only to the historically ignorant.
But I should stop replying to these trolls 😣, we are far off topic...
George... It wasn't even a surprise attack for the Japanese. They gave due warning, we treated it as a joke and failed to pass it up the chain properly. It was us to blame for the "surprise attack". Also, not one country deserves to be nuked that has not used one themselves. Let it go.
Aryzn, you chill as well. Let it die.
Yes, sorry.
Just to throw this out there, the Japan of back then and the Japan of today are two VERY different places. The US is exactly the same. Why do we argue over the mistakes of our ancestors?
PLEASE! Keep RL OUT of eR.
People this topic has been settled and the next person who comments I will track your IP to your current location so I can personally kick you in the balls!
The revisionist history stated in this sub thread is amazing. All sides involved in that conflict did terrible things. That is the nature of war.
Just horror. Nobody wins. May we never see the likes of that conflict again, ever. peace.
Now for a history lesson of how Liam roundhouse Kicked Shiloh13's balls into next week!
30 day cycles and an ever-changing game atmosphere make it unwise for any eNation to hang onto more than just one or two PERMANENT enemies or allies.
Like eSerbia?
But we have three. Croats and Albanians are our bros through everything, and Serbia's the permanent enemy.
I'm starting to wonder if there is such a thing as a permanent ally any more. Enemies there are plenty of....
that escalated quickly
Voted for pony
Super 🙂
Not sure you're capable of betrayal when no one puts trust in you any more.
I think it has being a long time since anyone thought the USA government stood for anything but the self interest of the ruling elite.

I guess that's why we just saved Russia from being wiped and held without Congress by Argentina.
Damn our dirty self-interests!!!
I never said you never do anything for your allies. I'm sure this met the criteria. I'm saying you switch directions more often then most. Maybe that is just because the USA has more options then most countries.
I miss the cool American oldfags, not these new players.

And this account may be young, but I assure you, I'm an ancientfag.
Don't know why that link broke >.>

If you want us to stick to tradition, Canada is our oldest enemy and the only reason you aren't permanently our wiped vassal state is because of Admin interference.
Wiping us has never been good politics for US administrations probably because it would be just to easy and a lot of our citizens move back and forth. Your welcome to take what you can before the wipe now though.
I love you Pfeiffer 🙂
As you should.
If I'm not mistaken, our very first war, in the ancient beta days, was with Canada. Yes?
Yes.
