Gosh, another update? So Soon?

Day 1,086, 05:11 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Artela

Shall we see how many days I can actually keep this newspaper updated for now that I have more “free time”?

It was nice to see that Ireland apparently have some gold to throw around… however, they were easily defeated this time. It seems that yesterday the Score was “eIreland NIL, eUK 2”, which is a most satisfactory outcome.

I only hope we can do so well against the syrup miners when the time comes 🙂

And now, I suppose, I should move on to the subject that people probably expect me to talk about…

I’ll start off by getting one thing straight – if you want to travel the world and go beat up strange people in strange lands then the regular Army is the best place for you. Despite whatever is happening between the military and certain factions of congress this country still needs an army to assist its allies so that they in turn assist us when it is needed. The Army will always have a special place in my heart, as will many of the people serving in it, and I hope that one day soon the Army will be given the respect that it deserves by those that sit idly by doing nothing but criticising it.

This is where I come to the “however” part…

However, if what you want to do is primarily defend the eUK regions there has been what you could call a “gaping great hole in the market”, and this is where the Home Guard comes in. The aims here are simple; to have as effective a fighting force as we can to defend our own shores, to help provide the means for our home defence forces to be more organised and equipped, to keep home defence free from the politics that have hindered and beleaguered our main military, and to provide a community that is sorely missing to help achieve all this. And, do you know what? I don’t see why the two cannot sit side-by-side!
