Game or Business?

I have played many online strategy games so far, and common thing about all of them is that they demand from the players to involve some skills in order to progress in the game. Of course some of them offer the players to pay for some advantages in game, but usually it’s only a minor advantages.

But in this “strategy” game, that’s not a case at all. Hire it’s doesn’t matter at all if you are good company manager, good journalist or you have any other skills, no matter how good you are, if you don’t pay, your progress in this game will be minimal.

So basically we are competing for who will pay more. The “best” player in this game is the one that have purchased the most gold. So what kind of competition this is, what kind of sport this is?

Instead of improving this game by making the skills involved important for progressing in this game, the admins are doing exactly the opposite in order to get even more profit. They intervene on the markets and on the monetary markets in every country, and by that they constantly devalue the national currency, making getting gold ingame harder than ever.

The censure is yet another issue in this game. If you say something about not buying gold your article will be instantly removed, but the articles full of racism and nationalism easily get to top 5 international and they never get removed. Well I guess that fits in the admins plans for making more profit as the racist and nationalist tension sells the gold.

So my final question is:

Are we, the players, just sheep that are sheared by the admin?
