FoodLess

Goodnight friends of ethai ...
I have been looking at a certain time scarcity of a resource that should be used by players every day: the food.
I looked in the marketplace that there is no food Q1 and Q2 for the players, just q3 and being sold at a high price... Not to mention that this value is more than MANY wages, damaging the many citizens...
We have to take the rights and posibles decisions... like the creation of states companies that guarantee the citizens health...
Thank to everyone.. and congratulations Korbin

I do agree with this. I, the wellness director, don't have enough money of my own to spend on food right now. I spent some a few days ago getting some Q3 food, and I spent the rest today buying 2 Q3 foods. It's a hassle, and my wellness is dropping. How ironic is that?
N.
I have buyed a Q2 food company.
Dont worry the food problem, because even today in some hours, my company will put food Q2 in the market. This company will produce a lot of food, enough to everyone.
About the price, it dependes of the grain actual price. I think that could be lower, so I will talk to that companies to get it fair!
Because there are no food at the moment, till this company produce some food Q2, there will be a promotion.
Promotion: [Pack 2 Food Q1] for 2THB
Send a message to me to request the food. Then donate us 2THB and I will send you the food amount. ONLY 1 PACK FOR PERSON
absolutely. I have been buying the q3 food at cost compared to my salary. spent the last of my non-committed money today. hopefully Low Cost foods can get things rolling in 5 days or less.
Two Q1 food for 2 THB is pretty bad. Used to be .1THB for Q1 food and 1 THB for Q2.
Yes, we need Q2 food immediatly.
The Q3 food here is sold at 15 THB, if I'm not wrong. This is too expensive for some people (including me).
And beorn, I think that Q2 food was sold by about 4 THB.
@beorn080
"Two Q1 food for 2 THB is pretty bad. Used to be .1THB for Q1 food and 1 THB for Q2."
You said that it is pretty bad, but then say that used to be the same. I dont understand.
The promotion price is low, 2 Q1 Food for 2THB
Just see the grain price, the lower one is 1THB.. So the food should be higher.
Salaries are out of control. We need to stabilize that as well. To make any money in grain I'd have to charge 3THB/unit to come out even.
If I lower salaries than people will work for the companies with overinflated salaries.
We are at a tough time still unwinding from the mess left by the regime former to Jack Roberts.
I am not an economy guy but I know we have some smart ones.
What can we do to right the ship?
Thats basic economy.. there are two options:
1. High salaries and products with high prices
2. Low salaries and low product prices
Actually we are at the first option, but we are slowing coming to a "middle" option were salaries and prices are at a medium stage. We have to wait till this happen..
Remember in 4/5 days this: Salaries are going down, because companies arent selling as much as they want!
Perhaps promising employees of that company low costs on their product. I know if I could get food for a lower price by working for a food company (even if at a lower cost) then I would work there. At the moment, I'd even be willing to work for food and no surplus money until the company can get rolling. We need better food. The low food costs are what brought me here. Now they are gone. If we want more people to move in, we need something to offer.
@Laffopuritain
In this company we pay the employees by their production. The salary formula is = medium production for every worker skill * food price
This allow that you can buy some food and also get some money to spend in other things.
LC- What I was trying to get at was an idea that would help lower the cost of products while at the same time getting employees to work there. Your formula, it seems to me, would raise prices further. maybe I'm not see things right, but it seems like you would have to raise prices above what I feel they should be to pay for workers salaries.
I would much rather have a company that can achieve a low price on their product than one that can pay me a lot. The one that pays me a lot is only raising inflation. eThailand doesn't need MORE inflation.
There are food Q2 at the market!
(only 5, but tomorrow will be more)
The underlying problem has long been, and remains, an acute labor shortage. We have too few workers for too many companies. The result is predictable: a seller's labor market where companies desperately compete against each other to secure scarce labor.
The solutions are either to increase the labor pool, or convince workers not to auction off their labor to drive up wages. The first is an ongoing struggle. The second I believe is something that our new President is looking into.
LC - the actual price of the food is too expensive for us.. i got to spend all my wage and more to get one food q3... and I think that most purchase food q2 in the marketplace...
you said that our economy is with high salaries and high prices... but the truth is that we(citizens), can't afford the actual price of food...
we hope that this situation get better...
We've been trying to sell our Q1 food company for a while now. We want to concentrate on wood and housing, and food used to be a terrible market. It seems to be less overproduced now (due to the persistent labor shortage), but if someone else is interested in trying to run this company, do note that Sabai Foods is for sale for 19 gold, with 2600 grain in stock still in stock. (At this exchange rate, the grain itself is nearly worth that much.)

All Q2 food have been selled.
We are searching for mores employeers..
oct holdings put q3 food for 4,2 every week, but they sell as wate.
If you want food cheapest, and I belive everyone want so..
You have to low the taxes! 1% Income and 1% VAT
food 5% 75% 5 %
If you change the taxes for 1/2 weeks then you can high it again later.. but the food price should low a lot!
I believe Alvaro that the current tax level for food was a compromise with TNT. Before that I think it was around 20% with TNT in control.
I agree with alvaro- until we get enough Thai companies to compete enough to lower prices, we should lower the import tax to encourage foreign competition.
@beorn080
But the reality is diferent now. Things must actualise and the economy panoram has to change..
There is now no food on the market and I have none in my inventory. Looks like a crisis to me, but my relatively high wellness will keep me for a while.
I'm seriously considering offering someone in another country 10 percent to buy and donate food to me...
q3 food for 4,2 thb in market now. 100 units.
Must do the same we did with the housing thing.
Well, anyway we need more workers, it's a long time problem
Help me out here, would it be a bad idea to reduce all taxes across the Food industry to 1% 1% 1% until our exchange rate improves? From what I can see we can produce pretty much everything cheaper than any other country. They would be hard pressed to undercut our prices, but there may be some countries that could come close.
I know in the past I have been for maxed out Import taxes, but in our current situation I think our local companies can weather any competition as long as we work together to sort out the distribution of labor. What do you think? Drop Food taxes to 1% across the board? Let's talk it out.
I'm just throwing out short term ideas for consideration while we work on our labor issues. We can work this through.
I would be willing to support that.
seconded
Thirded. You can't really protect companies that aren't selling, and I doubt anyone could easily undercut our Q3 food prices.
DISCLOSURE: Shortly after I suggested setting the Food taxes to 1% I purchased that food company that had Sabai in the name. It's now called Fruity Oaty Bar. I plan to use this company with private funds to begin shaping our plan to reallocate labor by offering stock options in the company to employees. More details soon.
BTW, Fruity Oaty Bar is owned by my new Organization called Blue Sun Corporation Thailand.
There is very high demand for Q2 food. Our company usually sells it at once (also in Indonesia) and it all gets bought in a few hours.
I am the one selling Q3 food for this high price, and feel like I need to explain myself. Even with 99% importtax I earn the same amout when selling my food in Spain as when I'm selling my food for 15 THB here in Thailand. I thought about not puting any food at all for sale, but that would make the crisis even worse. To solve the problem you realy need to raise the price of the THB on the momentary market, and there is only one sure way to do that, introduce a national bank that sells gold and THB at a reasonable level.
At first you will lose a lot of gold this way, but within a month you will have gotten that back because the market would be much healthier. Think about it. I think you would have to spend around 100 gold to solve the problem.
I do not think we have sufficient gold/THB in government accounts and the treasury to have any lasting input on the money market. Today alone, the price of gold has risen from 230 to 380 THB, simply because there is not enough people willing to sell gold. Supply and demand and all that...
the oct holdings owners are going to stay mads with me, but i´ve put more 98 food Q3 in market for 4,2thb( 100 finish yesterday very quick)
Why would they be mad at you? If you don't mind me asking, what do you intend on doing with the other 800 food you have in stock?
because he is the owner of the company and he choose the price and this things, he gave the password to use only in emergency cases when is lacking natural resources or money.
the company have also my money, but my area is UOL holding, oct is from other person, so i dont like using it. Also i put the price i think is fair, but i dont know if it is also his opinion, in the last two weeks the stock of the company, because of me interefing went from 1,6k to 800. I really dont know why he stock the food so much.
Q2 food at the market!
And remember my promotion: [Pack 2 Food Q1] for 2THB - MP me
Just an FYI...Govt Foods has food in stock...could have supplied the market with some of that if we needed.
Its Q2.
Thanks Antonio for putting some decent food on the market at a reasonable price.
Let's encourage companies to flourish and until then the Government could talk to market traders to sort out the problem by import of cheap food directly to citizens.
i will also move to oct food to maximize the production, and also help, i think that only 3 guys are working seriously there.
I need food to survive
@leader, donated.
You done a great job putting food q3 at a reasonable price.
I agree with niceboy about the government talk to market traders and must also resolve the food taxes,
i hope that this situation get better, cua we need to eat like the "leader of world" said...
I keep missing out on the food. I have 3 days worth left right now so its not an emergency.
If anyone has any to sell Q3 or better PM me with what you would like for it. I'll take a bunch if the price is right.
I just purchased another food company from the company market. It's Q2 and is now called Hot Pie's. We're searching for people to work for us.
They may not be the best wages, but what good is all the money in the world if it can not buy you even basic sustenance?
Can you guys lower import tax on Raw Materials to 0% ? I'm exporting Iron to here but its pretty expensive with the tax on it. You dont have some materials so why tax country to bring it to you ?
