Federalist Papers #1

Day 3,097, 20:11 Published in USA USA by Jaredbeaudrie123
13 May 2016 Now that my monthly voluntary self-exile is over I will finally shed light onto this endeavor. While I was busy with the unfortunate manners of life, the American "Federalist" Party has interfered in the business of other nations affairs by directly attacking them and threatening their independence. Now then as my thinly veiled political ambitions are concerned a nation that is peaceful, prosperous, and semi-isolationist are my hopes for the state of America. Now I am not saying build a wall to protect ourselves from Mexico because that would be contradictory to my ideals of freedom and self-determination of all peoples of all nations no matter they be ourselves, our allies, or our enemies. The War against our "enemies" is only overextending us and will reduce the chance of our nation being a credible partner in foreign affairs.

Isolationism is a foreign concept to many as the state has been waging wars left and right from day 1. However, I feel that if we ingrain ourselves in too many conflicts that the EUSA will fall under the stress of fighting in too many campaigns (and deny all of us a country in which to call home). Fighting a war in foreign lands will not help to contribute to the prosperity of our fellow countrymen,.and a two front war will only lead to ruin as time and time again has proved disastrous for many countries. Simply going isolationist however will lead to our country being seen as a vulnerable country by the eyes of the rest of the world and they will attack us.

Instead, I argue that the Foreign Policy should be similar to Switzerland's, i.e being of armed neutrality. As our current situation has told me alliances are only used to cause more conflict in the long run and are suspect to betrayal by either party. As George Washington said in his farewell address "Hence likewise they will avoid the necessity of those overgrown military establishments, which under any form of government are inauspicious to liberty, and which are to be regarded as particularly hostile to republican liberty.I am a firm advocate of following Washington's words, I argue that we transfer political power away from our belligerent military and towards a stable and flourishing democracy.
