Fallen

Day 1,996, 15:32 Published in Ireland USA by Raven Anarcho

The sun has set for the last time on a fallen brotherhood. Two nations shift to a major alliance. One country contemplates its upcoming path and another is robbed once more. This will be yet another issue to mention some of the newest leaders throughout the world.

FALLEN

The longest lasting alliance in the history of the game, EDEN, has finally fallen. Many ex-member nations agree that the fall was long overdue, but allies and enemies alike showed their respects in the alliance’s final statement. Once Romania and Croatia had left the alliance, none of the founding members remained.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

-Robert Frost

A CHOICE TO MAKE

Croatia has issued a statement regarding its place in world affairs. The president of Croatia, Argrob, has stated that Croatia will not jump into an existing alliance in his term. The nation will instead focus on establishing MPPs with nations it has deemed to be loyal friends. The U.S. was the first nation chosen and for the first time in a long time the two nations are once again allied. The Brazilian public has also shown interest in an MPP, but nothing has been decided on the government level.

BI-POLAR

After disbanding CUA, Argentina and Colombia have both shifted to TWO. This comes only months after an Argentine president stated that he wished for CUA to become global, and only one month after Argentina’s airstrike on the UK. Argentina has not attempted to become an official member yet, however Colombia has moved into ACT/TWO already. This further pushes the world into a Bi-polar alliance state, however much is up in the air regarding EDEN’s newest ex-members. Uruguay, on the other hand, appears less enthusiastic about joining TWO and was not happy with the sudden disbanding of CUA.

SOUNDS FAMILIAR

Norway has been robbed twice in two months. The president last month, Bob Turkee, had robbed the smaller nation, causing much criticism from this month’s victor, Back From Valhalla. However, shortly after getting elected, the new president removed 1 million NOK and “invested it in raw material companies.” The country was immediately outraged. Most have claimed it was a mere theft, while believers in the president’s motives claim it was foolish and should have gone through congress. At the moment, the president faces an assured impeachment.

LEGEND OF THE MONTH

Buenaventura Durruti

Buenaventura Durruti, b. 1896, was a famous Spanish Anarchist during the Spanish Civil War. When the Spanish army killed 70 people and imprisoned 2,000 during a workers strike, Durruti fled the country to France. There, he became introduced to anarchism and formed Los Justicieros (The Avengers) upon his return to Spain. Eventually he formed Los Solidarios, and took part in many battles during the Civil War, while trying to defeat a military uprising from gaining control of Spain. He was killed by friendly fire, when a gun had gone off by mistake by one of his men. Over half a million people accompanied his cortege to the funeral.

"Most anarchists believe the coming change can only come through a revolution, because the possessing class will not allow a peaceful change to take place; still we are willing to work for peace at any price, except at the price of liberty." - Lucy Parsons
