Explore the Regions!

Day 555, 14:22 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office

This article is part of a new series of articles aimed at promoting the eUK national forums as a place for eUK citizens to enhance their experience in eRep. This article focuses on activities in the section of the forums devoted to the regions.

As you may know, the eUK is divided into 12 regions. These regions are mainly used to determine the location of raw materials and most notably, they are political constituencies for House of Commons elections. However, the forums have a section devoted to each region and its residents.

Many regions have set up regional councils in order to promote activity in the region in general. Currently there are councils in:

Northern Ireland
Scotland (clan council)
West Midlands
South West
North West
Yorkshire & Humberside

The councils are usually run by the MPs of the region. However, they have positions for people who want to get involved in government or raise their profile in the region. Many of the councils also have games with prizes for people who participate. It can be a great way to meet new people and earn a little cash as well.

It can also be a gret way to launch a political career. Getting known in your region helps if you plan to run for the House of Commons in the near future. I would encourage you to sign up to the national forums and check out your region.
