eWorld Football News presents: The eWorld Cup

Day 2,311, 08:29 Published in Portugal Portugal by helstad

After military, political and economic simulation it's time for the eWorld to also have football simulation. It wont be anything fancy but here at eWorld Football News we will organize the First eWorld Cup, where the top players of each country will enter the pitch to lead their country to glory!

The results will be decided by the experience points of the top 5 players of each country in the last 7 days before the match. The 1st of Country A will go ahead against the 1st of Country B, the 2nd of Country A will go ahead against the 2nd of Country B and so on until the 5th. To score a goal a player will need to have 1000 experience points more than his opponent, otherwise nobody scores.

Let's take an example.

Country A top 5 players in the last 7 days:

P1 - 12564
P2 - 11026
P3 - 8541
P4 - 6521
P5 - 2563

Country B top 5 players in the last 7 days:

P1 - 14589
P2 - 9584
P3 - 8852
P4 - 3201
P5 - 2980

How the score would go:

Country B would score first because its P1 has mre than 1000 points than the P1 of country A. Then P2 of Country A would also score for the same reason. Both P3 players are not separated by 1000 points so nobody would score. P4 of country A would then put his country winning 2-1 because he has more than 1000 points than the P4 of country B. P5 players are not separated by 1000 points so nobody scores again.

Final score: Country A 2-1 Country B

I hope this was clear. I'll check the top 5 of each country right before simulating the result. No cheat, I promise, this is just for fun.

In case of a draw, the P1 with more points will give his team the win in penalties. Simple, right?

Now for the eWorld Cup!

The qualifying round will have 10 groups of 7 teams. I have used a randomizer to define the groups, and here they are:

Each team will play eachother once and the top 3 teams will qualify for the eWorld Cup. The 2 best 4th placed teams will also qualify. After points, goal difference is the deciding factor, but if even after that there is a draw, it will be decided by the points of the top player of all time of that country.

After the qualifying rounds the eWorld Cup will take place with the real life format of the World Cup: 8 groups of 4 teams and a knockout phase.
