Entertainment Edition VII

Day 2,354, 15:40 Published in Ireland USA by Raven Anarcho

In this Entertainment edition I'll be once again breaking away from global updates to share some entertainment recommendations.

HAVE YOU SEEN...

Bill Burr

I want you to imagine yourself at a comedy show, and you've just watched your two friends who performed before you get booed off stage. Your choices? Go on with the show and take it, back out and refuse to perform, or do what Bill Burr does. For 12 minutes, he tore into the Philidelphia crowd, from making fun of their band shirts with bands nobody listens to, to telling them no terrorist would never bomb Philly because everyone's worthless. That's pretty much his comedy style in a nutshell (attack everything everyone loves), and nobody's safe.

Just youtube him, he's hilarious. 🙂

HAVE YOU HEARD...

Butt Trumpet

Usually I try to recommend bands that I feel many would actually like if they listened to them... today I made an exception.

Disturbing, disqusting, appaulling and amazing. This crusty punk band started out of LA in the early 90's, and their first album was almost banned in a Massachuesettes town after a kid listened to it and their mother was enraged, calling the cd "audio porn". Though if falls far short of such a title, it's still not for the soft eared listeners, as their fast paced offensive lyrics can confuse, enrage, or just simply delighten you. "I'm Ugly and I don't know Why" is perhaps their best known, and one of their some what more mellow tunes, while you also have the elegent "I've been so mad lately" and of course the beautiful hit, "Kill yourself". The band was primarily female, and went on to form Betty Blowtorch.

HAVE YOU SEEN...

Bored to Death

This great show lasted only 3 seasons, but most decent shows don't last long on HBO. Jason Schwartzman plays a writer who moonlights as a private detective. His best friend is Zach Galifinakis as a comic book writer, and their older rich stoner friend, played by Ted Danson. Each episode features a new bizarre situation the main character finds themself in, from following a suspected adulterer, to destroying evidence of a policeman going to a bondage chamber. The show is, more than anything uniquely hilarious, and has some of the best written characters I've seen.

MY CURRENT MISSION

Well I got a few BHs last week, so now its time to save up and just hit the DO everyday for a while. Perhaps I'll keep fighting for Paraguay. I might save up till congress election time, as I'm sure plenty of nations will need it. I'll probably fight for Brazil or Canada most likely. Aside from that I'll just be living it up in the Dail.
