Endless occupation...

This article is not the next one about politics in UK, but about something completely different.
We all play for a country, a country wich is part of an alliance, a country with regions and wich can do elections, accept citizens and can plot their own future.
This is for 9/10 of the players in this game, but there are people with less luck in Erepublik too.
Some countries are very unlucky to be occupied the whole game. They are always the target of air strikes or agressive neighbours.
Examples of those countries are: Austria, Czech Republic, Arab Emirates, India, Japan and few others.
The most important reasons are:
-Low population: those countries have never more than 1000 citizens, what makes them not powerfull.
-No alliance or not "pro" alliances: This makes that those countries barely get support when they are under attack.
-To many regions: Maybe the most important reason why the are always under attack and occupation. They have a lot of regions wich can give a nice tax imcome and resources.
And so those countries are always the victim of others, and not always neigbours. Also countries who failed to keep their regions reside (temporarely)on their soil. Examples are Bosnia in UAE and some South American countries have their camp in India after being drafted from their homeland.
Ofcourse this makes te game not fun anymore for the wiped countries, their production drop, they barely get income, can't accept new citizens. So a lot of people leave to other countries or just stop playing. Those countries don't have a future anymore, everytime the finally kick out an occupant it's will be replaced by a new one.
A solution is needed to make Erepublik also fun for them. Maybe reduce the amount of regions can help. With only 2,3 or 4 regions they will not be targetted so much anymore and they can kick occupants out more easily. Or maybe there a still other solutions??

maybe a greater increase in the rate of 'determination to be free' in resistance wars?
and maybe a multiplier depending on how many regions the liberating country already has
and reduced rates depending on how many regions the occupier has
Only additional players would help... and that's not happening since there's no advertisement and/or game improvement.
Some ecountries have too many regions.
Another problem that some of these countries have is that they have resources that are of great interest to bigger countries near them or they are an easy route to such resources. For example, Dutch oil was wanted by Poland, leading to the long occupation of eNL. A possible solution to that is not to give uncommon resources to small countries. The Dutch only have 4 original regions, but for Poland to keep a connection to that oil, at least 2 of those 4 must be perpetually occupied.
Or you have bonuses that are only half as effective if owned by a foreign power. Narrative justification is long distance infrastructure logistics.
Or have it so that the bonuses switch on and off. So one day you get a "Opps, the wells run dry at (oil bonus location)". One to Eight weeks later, you then get a message stating a new rich vein of oil have been discovered and the bonus is reactiviated. The "on" setting is for at least 2 months.
For crop bonuses, you have good weather or floods/drought (as applicable)
For cattle, you can have have foot and move disease (culling) which then is recovered.
It may give a bit of extra strategy since occupiers might find one of their regions suddenly without bonuses and have to decide how hard it is prepared to hold onto it not knowing how long the bonus will be missing etc.
And yet you of all people just NE'd eNorway. A country that has been wiped by UK and Poland together, helped by NL. How can you take yourself serious?
I am sorry...
