eCuba

Day 2,496, 00:27 Published in Cuba Ireland by Bad BIue Boys

Hello eCuba,
I’ll try to translate this article in spanish as soon as I can, if there’s someone who is willing to do this job I’d appreciate it. What I’m trying to do with this article is pretty simple, I’d like to see a long and constructive debate about what people of eCuba thinks about some very important things for our country. For that reason, I’ll start several topics which should be really important for us.

-Our relations with eUSA
-Our future country unity and internal situation
-An alliance
-Effective Government - Longterm thinking

OUR RELATIONS WITH USA
So, let’s start with the first and most urgent question we have to ask ourselves. What is our goal in eCuba? Before even thinking about it I’d just point out that we’re surrounded with a lot strong countries which has a lot of allies and friends they’ve made in the recent years. On the other side, we’re still a new country, we still don’t have so many friends and as each one of you know we’re not even organised as a country yet.

So let me ask you again...what is our goal here in eCuba? What happened happened, I’m not sure what exactly that was, but it was either fault of our Government or just misunderstanding with Americans. Our last few Presidents negotiated deal with United States, in this deal “we” have agreed to rent them two of our three regions for exchange of tax-return / money for rent. Recently, this deal has broken, once again, I won’t blame anyone without having facts to prove this. What we can change is the future. I believe we have two options, one of them is to fight against eUSA and the other one is to re-negotiate our deal and rent them two of our regions once again, there’s no options to rent them only one of our regions for a simple reason - they want our iron connected with their other resources.

Before saying “Let’s fight!” I’d like to remind you once again that we’re much weaker and fighting would lead to permanent wipe of eCuba, if that’s what you want - feel free to go for it. Fighting is all good, but if we can get a proper deal, get ourselves some extra money from the deal and work on organising ourselves to become much stronger and have more options than just two in the future I believe we should go for another deal with eUSA. Leading a country also means to make some tough decisions and this certainly is one of them, it was easy when we had protection from Plato, but since this is gone we’re in a dangerous situation.

OUR FUTURE UNITY AND INTERNAL SITUATION
As many of you already know UFC (United for Cuba) alliance has dissolved, since leaders of this three parties has changed some of their views has also changed, I can respect the motive to create much more united society, this is something I’d always support and this is something I’d like to see more of. But unity simply can’t happen over the night, it requires lots of debates, many compromises. UFC would’ve never been built if we didn’t had the same goals for eCuba - organised Government, mutual respect and same rights for all the citizens of this country. That’s something we still haven’t see. But, what’s my point? Well, UFC just wasn’t power-hungry coalition, we knew we’re uncapable of running country alone, but we’ve proved that it’s required to involve everyone in making decisions, not only spanish speakers. Many eCubans understood this and I believe that’s why there’s no more need for UFC in this case.

Dissolving of UFC didn’t happened as we’ve hope, we’d be much more happy if there was some talks between coalition before dissolving it by Greeks and Serbian leadership (I’m saying leadership because most of Serbs showed respect to UFC by joining CSP). Today, we’re in the situation where the biggest eCuban party isn’t running the country, where there’s still many divisions between groups and where power is separated according to party membership instead according to expirience of the players. But, it’s natural thing, politics has always been a step-mother to the countries and it will always stay like this.

What I’d like to see is more of honest debates instead of working on things behind backs. If you can remember of a guy who gave his best to show someone else in the bad light who would it be? I know who’d be my favourite and by talking to all the players in eCuba I concluded once again who this guy is. Hopefully everyone will realise this soon. Croats, Serbs and Greeks has been showed in a bad light to give power to an individual, most of the people naivly followed this propaganda and today we have eCuba without doing anything to make this place better to eLive in. I hope we will change this soon.

AN ALLIANCE
It’s natural things that Governments do some work in this area, having an alliance is always something every Government aim to. But, I’m not sure that being in any alliance would serve eCuban interests very well. By joining the alliance you don’t just recieve help and get good allies, you also get obligations, if the country can’t or don’t want follow those obligations then it’s better not to join the alliance at all.

What I’m trying to say right now?
An alliance without friends in it isn’t really an alliance and let’s face it, eCuba still haven’t made some strong friendships! Yes, we can sign few MPP’s and hit every here and then for someone, but it takes years to make friendships in this game. In my opinion, before joining any alliance we firstly must work on making friends individually, without making any enemies in the meantime.

We need to give our best to create respectful and honest relations with our neighbours, in the meantime we’d be able to focus on our internal problems, and over the time work on relations with the country we’d like to have as our friends. Neutrality will serve eCuba much better than any existing alliance for the one and simple reason, to join the alliance we need to be an organised country first. Otherwise, what’s the point of joining an alliance if we can’t contribute it? The only possible thing which would happen is our leaving of the alliance and repeating the same mistake, eventually we’ll lost respect from all the countries. This isn’t what we need at this moment. Our goal should be to create our reputation, a reputation of the loyal and strong ally and friend. Only when we achieve this we’ll be ready to join the alliance.

EFFECTIVE GOVERNMENT & LONGTERM THINKING
By effective Government and longterm thinking I’m talking about setting up Government and its duties. So far, those positions has been mostly used only as ingame positions while certain people has been doing all the work, or haven’t been doing anything in some cases.

This definitely needs to change, there’s several systems how to set up the Government and in our case where we have very diversive community it’s needed to “share” power to make everyone happy, by making everyone happy you’re making everyone give their best for the country. It means that people will be more motivated, people will involve “their” groups and we’ll have constructive competition in the country, this is something we should aim for.

Firstly, we need at least three MoD’s - One of them for coordinated troops, one of them for coordination with the allies and one more to run National army. This three MoD’s must be from different timezones so our orders are always updated on time, this three MoD’s must establish the working climate in this Ministry.

Secondly, Ministry of Finances must be organised as result of the compromise between all the sides within the eCuba. Minister of Finances must be someone with huge knowledge of how to run this aspect of the game, MoF must be someone people trust to, it must be someone who is ready to provide transparency in this Ministry so people know where their taxes are spent. MoF and CP’s MUST be the only ones with the access to National orgs and whole financial situation. As my good friends say: “Finances is the gun. Politics is knowing when to pull the trigger.”

To conclude this article,
I only wish we can have a deal on how to run a country, I wish we agree over the most points in my article, but I know this may be impossible, each citizen of eCuba should respect the will of majority, no matter what it is, that’s what democracy is. With giving power to some people to lead us you also give them huge resposability. In case they can’t deal with it or they don’t have enough knowledge then it’s the fault of the whole community to give them this power. So, be careful who you vote for, this people can lead us in two directions - good and bad one. Let’s pick the good one for once.

Don Croata
