Day 1,565, 13:13 Published in South Africa South Africa by Luc Praetor

Johannesburg, Gauteng - This election is history in the making. Today we have a cat running for eSA President (again), and a token woman running for Vice President on the hopes of countless eSA citizens (and sugary interest groups).

We've come a long way, right? Let's take a look at the dynamics here. Steven Bosch, running for President, a feline, if we dare to admit it and in case you haven't noticed, has been subjected to all types of scrutiny. Nickerball, sticky when wet, is coated with caramalised sugar. Bosch is running for President of eSouth Africa, he has been given a pass on past associations, his short (but really long) voting record has been subjected to very little, if any, scrutiny. Bosch/Nickerball is running against Mr Wet/Seisan (of comedy fame).

Let's put things into perspective; I am an eR citizen, I have eR children, and like Nickerball, I have 11 eR grandchildren. They are my rainbow nation, and yes, I am a proud eNew South African. They are all treated equally, they are all expected to accord to ubuntu by-laws and live by stokvel smarts, but they are also striving towards that.

They perform academically, some athletically, some musically. Yet, they are all special, they are all loved equally. The only grandchild given "special" attention was a child diagnosed with severe delusions of grandeur, we nicknamed him "Mitt Romney". Alas, he passed away at age eleven. An incredible young man, who's skin colour was eBlack, his religion theist (note, not atheist), he was someone who touched many lives of all types in his few years, someone who while loved deeply, gave more to others than he ever asked for, as long as he could make the quick buck in the process. *sigh*.

As previously said, there has been very little scrutiny of Mr Bosch, I only have his rhetoric (and a deep personal history with him) to base my opinion on. He promotes change, yet what I've heard, and from what I've forced myself to listen to, it is the same old eR-this and eR-that, region-do's and region-don'ts, which we have come to be used to. I don't make 250ZAR per day, but I also don't support excessive taxing of those who contribute to making, and try their very best to appear to make, our economy work. It would be mindless to inject money into our economy, if it does less than propping up the ruling (eAdmin) technocracy... apart from enriching, and at the same time fleecing, our credit-card bearing fellow citizens.

I don't want national health care. My health building takes care of that. I want affordable weapons, affordable food, and cheap lays picked up on the local street corner. I want to spend tons more eZAR to fund the specialist Military Units in eR. As to eWorld economy, we don't have alternative fuel resources which could force the world back into the stone age, unlike the real world USA philosophy of "f**k our children, we want to feel good now!".

Bosch's campaign has attacked the Wet/Seisan ticket [only in my mind, because nothing appears on eR articles regarding] because Bosch doesn't use a computer, he is old, he votes with his own decisions ninety percent of the time, he is not a kitty, and he hasn't changed Limpopo. [Oh, sor. He does use a computer, he is a kitty, and rumour has it, he has changed Limpopo].

Bosch has the maverick name because he did try to change Limpopo. But it hasn't been announced that all he has done so far, was to increase the number of pamphlet weilding liberals on our streets, and decrease the number of pamphlet removal street cleaners.

He did try to get rid of unnecessary pork, he did try to reform elections. Though, one congress person standing alone cannot change the mass corruption of many cabinet members and congress people. Bosch either voted for or voted against the opposition ninety-seven percent of the time, or said oops, but immediately apologised and said IA!

[Unclicks Facebook Like]... [Reclicks]... Oh... I hit the wrong button, twice now... He did really mean IA. Look at his record, not the colour of his preferred sugary VP running mate, listen to what she says and hear what he is not saying. It is loud and clear.

I really don't know who Steven Bosch is, he gives a good speech, in our IRC chatrooms he stutters and stammers (but to all of us it seems perfectly natural), he is personable, and pretends to not be untouchable.

I am not looking for a messiah, a superior elitist who wants to tell me how I or other eR citizens should two-click our lives. Based on how these campaigns and the media treated Selina Kitt (by not giving her any attention whatsoever, not badmouthing her, and especially since she deserved no attention), I have very little respect for anyone in ePolitics. The way they have attacked Bosch, Prestik, and other types of glue, and other citizens whose welfare concerns me too, they seem to want us to accept them without question because they are eR citizens!

Not because their change is anything different than the same old get elected, earn a medal, usher the next guy in, the only change I see is that he is liked. I had hoped that this would be a Presidential campaign based on politics, not popular choice, I had hoped it would have at least been based on the sugar-levels of our blackened candy vice president, not based on people's personal addictions to sweets.

Who is the real eSA President?
