In this article of "Citizens Voice".
I would like to give some more critical analysis on the controversial topic about Bose and also about the Freedom Struggle and other leaders.
This article is my personal critical analysis and request you to read only if you're really interested.
Well there has been discussions on this topic now recently but these topic has been in discussion by the historians. They are freedom fighters so we should respect them that's true but they became politicians after independence of the country. Bose was also the member Indian National Congress who also held the position of the party president. But he has resigned to the party and post because of the differences with other major congress leaders. He was also into politics and he also had a very bright future than nehru if he was alive till independence.He's not just a national level leader but he was a well known leader at international level.
Its a fact that it's a plot by few major leaders including few british to kill Bose.
Gandhi being our father of nation and has spearheaded the independence movement. He deserved the credit. But Nehru didn't play any active role in the independence movement. Now the scenario is like "If we are independent then it's only because of Gandhi and his followers with the view of Non- Violence. Gandhi also has shown his discrimination towards those who attempted to achieve independence through more violent means. His refusal to protest against the hanging of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Udham Singh and Rajguru is a well known example.
Is this what Gandhi meant by non violence?
Non violence view of Gandhi meant that everyone is going to fight peacefully without causing any physical harm to the Britishers.But still, He will not say anything about the Indians who are being hanged by British only because of the differences between in their ideologies.
There are many other freedom fighters whom we should give the credit to for their contributions.

We today flaunt and admire Che Guevara who was a revolutionary leader of cuban revolution. Then why can't you accept the fact and admire our own freedom fighters who are also revolutionary leaders who fought for Indian Independence like Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad and Subash Chandra Bose.
The day on which Bhagat Singh is executed i.e. 23rd march is observed as Shaheed diwas (martyr's day).
How many people know about this???
All the people only know about Gandhi Jayanthi and Children's Day.

Anyways, I wanna tell you. We admire Gandhiji today other than the *real* freedom fighters because Gandhi was the only man who knew the *real* problems which affected Indians during that time. He led and made such speeches that touched the hearts of people. That's why people *loved and followed* him.
I am not saying that Bhagat Singh, etc. didn't knew the real problems. They knew. And they even fought against them. But, the affect of Gandhi on people was so much that they didn't give all that much importance.
It was all psychologically planned by Gandhi. He was a cunning man.
That's why today also, after many years of Independence, we remember Gandhi. Why? One, because of his psychological affect people stuck his photo around in the notes. No matter not everybody follows him now. It's only his name is remembered. Non-violence as taught by Gandhi isn't follow.
Don't you think that on Gandhi Jayanti also many people think the day as *only a holiday.* Same goes for Nehru. The Independence doesn't matter to us much now. It was all in the past. Now, let's think of future.
Also, I wanna tell everybody who are posting this Gandhi controversy to be alert. Discussing RL problems of a country in eRepublik is an offence of it's Terms of Use. So please, end this topic now. You might gain *forfeit points.*
PS I am also one those who respect Bhagat Singh and others.
The photo on currency notes is also a point to be highlighted. Only the countries under dictatorship or still under the rule of their kings have their images on currency notes.

I mean how did you arrive at such a judgment.....
You have just read about these guys or known from people to people talks.....
Guys, before judging anyone you should know that Indian Independence struggle was nothing until Gandhiji came and united us all. We lost the Independence struggle of 1857 coz we all fought for our small territories and there was no united effort.
India whatever is today is because of Gandhiji.
Nehru, Bose Azad, Bhagat Singh, etc (and believe me there were lot many and if you do not know, probably you were sleeping in your history classes in school) all had different view points of independence struggle. All did their parts.
Today none of them can defend the accusations that anyone levy upon them.
Respect the struggle they had during independence. We have not even seen 1% of that struggle in our life. Disrespecting our own leaders in international communities shows really lowness of our morals and values. No body can for sure tell what happened during those days now. Just by reading some books and texts we can not formulate a clear picture of the events and happening during those days.
Books and articles depict the views and ideas of the writers. Read them, understand them, learn from them but do not judge the characters in them.
Past leaders did their bit, whatever they felt was correct at that time. Do not judge them now, years after they are gone.

That's what i'm trying to say everyone did their best according to their ideologies.
Why others didn't get any recognition for their contributions???

Yes he surely had a bright future and he resigned from party only after differences with Gandhi and nehru. That's the truth. As mentioned by kunal in earlier comment Gandhi was a very cunning man and Nehru was just a bit better than him. Nehru was a true politician in nature.
Gandhi's refusal to protest against the execution of bhagat singh and others is perfect example of his cunning nature.
At last coming to personal remark you've made

There are many others I know that fact but the few of the main leaders didn't get the recognition which they should and that includes Gandhi's mentor Bal Gangadhar Tilak who guided him along the path of Non-Violence.
I wish you could just understand the importance of history. If you were really interested in history then you should have known all these matters better than me. I would just like to bring it to your notice that I'm a Graduate in History from Nizam College one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education not only in the state but also in India.
I hope that it made you realize that

How do you come to a conclusion that Gandhiji was a bitter man ?
You just read something here and there and concluded then can't you see that there are numerous books and articles not only from Indians but around the globe that praise Gandhiji.....
Choose what you choose to believe.
My dear Graduate in History, its the world historians who recognize Gandhiji's effort tin getting Independence to India.
It is a matter of shame that Gandhi is more respected and adored by non-Indians then Indians today, that too after judging his works almost a century after he is gone
No doubt we Indians do not deserve true heroes........

A fact that you might not be aware of
There are many world historians who also criticize Gandhi. There were many books written in this regard also but they didn't allow them to be published. Only because to protect the glory of him.
Getting independence wasn't a one man show. We have to respect everyone's efforts is what I meant. If not much to others at least you should give credit to Bal Gangadhar tilak who was Gandhi's mentor.
The view of only Gandhi = Independence was promoted by the congress.
Every denomination of currency notes having only Gandhi is known fact. They came into circulation from 1996. Before that, he was only on 500-rupee notes.
In replies to the various RTI applications, these facts came into light
RBI said that it doesn't have any information when and how this decision was taken to put Gandhi Ji's picture on Indian currency Notes.
The title 'Father of the Nation' was given to the Mahatma by Subash Chandra Bose. In his address on Singapore Radio on July 6, 1944 has addressed Mahatma Gandhi as Father of the Nation. Thereafter on April 28, 1947 Gandhi was referred with the same title by Sarojini Naidu at a conference. It was just a referred title given to him.
It was a honorary title but wasn't conferred by the government as the constitution does not permit any titles except educational and military ones.
All others are also true heroes not only Gandhi. However he stands first in the list. Even according to me.
I do not understand what is your problem....
You have a problem that Gandhiji's face is on currency notes?
or you have a problem that Congress supports Gandhiji ?
or you have a problem that Gandhi was associated with Congress ?
or you have a problem that anything that has a link to Congress has to be bad ?
Please clarify your problem first
Matter of fact is everyone's contribution in Indian Independence is always remembered and respected. But you need to accept the fact that if Gandhi had not come to the scene then we Indians would still have been fighting our own lonely battles because we did not have a united front. Before Gandhi came even the Congress was not strong enough to oppose British policy and moves.
You need special guts to stand up against the powerful British empire. Gandhi united us all and his message of non-violent struggle was the one which created problem to the mighty British administration.
If you really want to see how difficult it is, try to stand up against a wrong act of your boss or manager or whoever is way above you and you will find out the difficult task that Gandhi accomplished.
Everything is a concern but not a problem to me bharmal.
Not giving enough recognition required to all others and Congress view of promoting or portraying only Gandhi as freedom fighter is my problem.

Don't look at things in 20th century with ur brain which is 100 years after from the time line of events.
Also, do not read articles which are already expressing opinion, they are already written in way to make u believe them.
If we did not fight in a non violent way, we would have been much worse, believe me, sad part is, what happened after independence and the time we waste on past issues.

I agree with your point of view that few writers do they express personal opinion in them. But that number is, very few. Not many are like that, but it can be vice versa as well
That others who're writing about them in a very positively might be manipulating the facts with their personal opinions for portraying them in the best possible way.

In RL I don't discuss politics at all even with close friends because it only causes differences of opinion and may lead to future undesirable events. (Read Chetan Bhagat's the 3 mistakes of my life or watch Kai Pro Che)
Although most of you here do not know each other personally and are anonymous, I request you all to refrain from discussing politics (past, present and future) on erepublik.
Firstly there are so few Indian citizens here and then we argue most of the time. We should be united. Hope you understand my message 🙂
