Advice for Newcomers

Day 2,627, 21:10 Published in Israel Israel by Collin Patton

Hello, citizens of eIsrael.

In this article, I will be giving some basic advice to new players. Keep in mind that I'm not an expert by any means, and most of this advice is general in nature. If anyone has any other suggestions or tips, feel free to leave them in the comments section below. And if I've made any mistakes, please let me know.

1. Daily Business:
On a day-to-day basis, you should have two main priorities when you log in to eRepublik: Training and Working. Working for another player will give you currency, which is used to purchase weapons and food. Working and getting a job are fairly simple, and are located under the "My Places"/"Companies" tab.

2. Military Units:
You should join a Military Unit as soon as you can. Military Units give out a "Daily Order" (seen on your home page), which involves a military campaign. If you satisfy the requirements of the campaign, you'll be given some rewards. After you complete this, check back again the next day, or continue to fight in the campaign if you can.

3. Wars:
Without getting too technical, Wars come in 2 basic types: Invasions and Resistance Wars. An invasion, as the same suggests, happens when Country A attacks Country B. For example, if Canada invaded California, that would be a single campaign. If Canada then invaded New York, those would be two separate campaigns.

A Resistance War occurs when an occupied country has enough support to launch a war against whoever currently hold their territory. For example, if France has taken over London, then citizens of the UK can attempt to take it back via a Resistance War.

The outcome of a battle is determined by the amount of total damage each side is able to inflict during that battle, with multiple battles taking place over the span of a single campaign. For every battle won, the side will earn points. Points are determined based on 4 Divisions, which group players of similar strength together. Stronger and more experienced players will fight in battles that give more points towards their side, and will generally not be forced to fight against newer players.

If your country is allied with another country, then their citizens can assist your nation in the campaign.

4. Currency & Gol😛
Each country has its own unit of currency. Israeli citizens have the NIS, Americans have the USD, and so on. Saving currency is very important, and you should avoid spending too much at first. If you can make extra weapons or food, you should consider selling them to your fellow players.

Gold is similar to currency, but every eRepublik player has Gold, regardless of their nation. Gold and currency can be exchanged for one another at the Monetary Market. Sometimes, the exchange rate can change, so keep that in mind. Gold should be primarily used to enhance your Training Facilities and your Companies. It's up to you how much Gold you want to spend, but you can spend extra gold to train more each day.

That's all for now, thank you for reading!
