Abstention as a tool to real democracy
Alphabethis
You shouldn't be ever voting a party list, that is, a
designated oligarchy by a party boss. All parties are the same,
pyramidal structures of power. All parties are interested in
grabbing power and more power, and they do it by offering
special treatments to more faithful members.
The current problems of eUS boil down to this problem: the selected
few enshrined by their party's structures. There is never a discussion,
there is never a real voting or referendum on key issues. All is
decided in dark rooms in Discord, IRC or forums. All is left to
"experience" wise owls, falcons, or eagles. All of them disdain you as individual and as political entity, you are only a number, a peon, for them.
Say no to slavery, say no to list, DO NOT VOTE!
Gabriel Horzn ( in the comments ) is clearly exposing one of the mechanism of domination: free work for the 'community' ( for the leader and its structure) and poor rewards, since the leader and the annointed ones will get all.

Since our Congressmen were nominated and voted on by party members on the forum I feel differently about the SFP, specifically.
Well, as a general rule, parties are not democratic themselves. A democratic party is difficult to achieve, and even if you got a 'democratic' nomination in a particular case, the question is that the system , as a whole, is rotten.
Everyone in the party is allowed to vote for the candidates on the forum btw.
I almost voted for your article ...
Vote is not the same as democracy. My article is not a democracy.
did you miss the humor implied?
I got the double sense ... It was a meta-vote , the vote about voting... or abstention of abstention...
Better still, vacate the Top 5 parties and refuse them your vote.
Demand accountability and transparency.
Fight in your own best interests, save your resources, and ignore DoD half-baked schemes until you see substantial action to correct ongoing government failures.
Write protest articles with clarity.
Above all, quit blaming Wild Owl for birdshit when none of you organize change or offer substantive competition.
abstention is competition.
twss
but you are right, this deserves another article...
Because it's not a fight between alpha males, but ... democracy, the fight of the ideas.
You can't have a debate in an echo chamber and that's what they've built for themselves.
But you can build new chambers...

I have always argued for an opposition party but to no avail. BSP was only too happy to place Wild Owl in congress, so they cannot claim that mantel nor can SFP who will rig their own party elections to appease the meta game overlords.
You'd be better served to join AMP
"special treatments to more faithful members." this has never been true for me i have had to work hard and long to get where i am and why should loyalty be a bad thing?
"DO NOT VOTE!" you will NEVER silence me!
Stockholm Syndrome much?
Do you know why the abused stay with their abusers?
Those people give no shits for you until you can do something for them.
What have they done for you lately?
Hi rainy how are you? How have you been? whos They?

LOL you guys are rolplaying well ill give you that. i dont feel abused... i get more than i give and i like that situation to be honest it is what the government should set our system up like. and defer it onto the rich like we always do... i just remembered a convo awile back that the rich pay the most in taxes that in the long run goes back to the citizens. what more could you want?
agree with you, Gabrielz_Horn!
Anarchy, sweet anarchy, you shortcut loved by those who can not reach the people's leadership, the scourge of scams of failed dictatorships!
Democracy and anarchy are similar. Both need freedom to survive. Democracy acknowledges that rules must exist. Anarchy tries to override any rule. I think rules must exist.
