A month old this Easter
Lord of Bones
Hi CheetahCurtis!
I will be turning 1 month old this Easter weekend and so I thought, wouldn't it be nice to write an article really giving my thoughts and feedback on a very active first month in eRepublik.
The first thing I have realised is they are a lot of very experienced and ‘older’ players within the UK community. These old chaps have been utterly welcoming and knowledgeable when I have posed questions. I really wanted to express my absolute delight at the way I have been treated and respected since I joined.
Baby Steps
In my first couple of weeks I was mainly observant, watching and reading the media. I decided having seen the Royal Navy ranked as our top military unit that I would sign up and see how these guys worked. I was immediately welcomed to the group and received many messages of guidance and support. Here is one in particular message sent from the very friendly Mick Cain.
Ready to get involved
Having taken part in some wars and improved my ranking, I was really starting to enjoy the fighting aspects of the game. This was the stage in which I was told about “strength training” and actually understood it. Mick Cain had touched on the subject but it floated above me as I didn’t fully understand when I first joined the unit.
Strength Training = Maximize daily strength gain and achieve the highest possible strength total for your division.
This is just my attempt at explaining ‘Strength Training’ but here is an example; my Strength at the moment is 825.00 which for Division 1 is a weak total. I have been watching those winning ‘battle hero’ medals in my division and I have noted that most fighters have over 30k strength. So to put myself in a competitive position to challenge for those medals I must first achieve this benchmark strength region of 30k but without leaving my division. This was the moment I realised I would need to invest some money and get gold. Yes the game is free but when I find a game I enjoyable I don’t mind spending a little to extend my enjoyment.
So now my main aim is to increase my training grounds, so I can maximise my daily strength.
Investment in Training Grounds
So having purchased some gold and the newbie package (the name forgets me). I invested this directly into my training grounds. I was then alerted about the Government TG Loans, great I thought! Having applied I was subsequently rejected for being “too young” by my country president. This was disappointing as I had tried to prove I was a committed player. Luckily despite the lack of support from my government a stranger helped me out to get the remaining gold to purchase another upgrade.
NWG loaned me the 9 Gold I need to get another upgrade in before the offer ends! Now I’m gaining 65 strength daily (without daily bonus), which I am absolutely delighted with.
That means I will gain a Super Strength medal every 4 days or so, which equates to 7/8 medals a month, my plan is to pay back NWG with the 35/40 Gold reward and work towards further increasing my training grounds.
My First Political Party
Last week I wrote my first article asking the public to tell me more about their individual parties. I had no idea who stood for what and what goals parties where trying to achieve. I still think this is very unclear, however having received over 20 mails I decided to give UKRP a try. The response was immediate and I cannot thank the guys enough for involving me and helping me out. At this moment I don’t intend moving on, I hope to settle down and show some loyalty as a thanks for the help they have given me.
NHS Food
I wanted to thank the guys from the NHS, I was completely unaware of this function and the extra food is a life saver for a new starter.
Thank you
Finally I wanted to just say thank you everyone for the warm welcome and advice, cash donations, tanks, and food. Really every single person I have mailed or questioned have giving me their time to answer me. Your generosity will not be forgotten.
If you get a random friend request from me, I am just trying to complete my mission and be polite; hopefully I can add more friends in the future.
Thanks for reading!

I've not mentioned everybody by name, you know who you are but they were too many ha ha
Drop my name in somewhere random...
See if you can spot it...
I'm struggling, give me a clue.
Great article Lord of Bones.Keep going with train.Strength is more important and fight than politics.Althougth here politics is much more clear than in real life.Take my advice don"t hurry to get involved in politics and to any party.First just observe, read media articles of various parties, get informed by everything what is going in UK etc
65 strength a day is more than me!
You're on the right track o/
Keep up the good work mate, you're heading in the right direction!
good job. you even had a better start, unlike me in the first month playing erep.
wait, 62.5 str/ day? you already maxed out 3 TGs to q4 and upgraded the fourth TG to q2? you're really fast. but you need to calculate the cost and the profit first.
30k str? it's still weak by my standard. people still love to steal BHs, especially if they see a weak acc.
getting there(30k str) takes a lot of patience. if you don't want to leave div 1 soon, don't complete any DOs. even if it's boring to not doing anything except 2-clicks everyday, try deal with it.
selling tanks or food maybe a good option to get more money. even if you have to sell some from the supply you get from your MU(I bet mick Cain doesn't like it). 😛
getting a 54cc wage job is a must unless you work for 0.01 cc wage to get supply.
and, it's nice to meet you. o/
I dont give a rats arse what the guys do with their tanks mate. They earn em and its their choice how they use em
None are maxed that costs too much.
100 gold a upgrade to level 4 when they is no offer on!
I am all level 3's now, I have cheated by buying some gold but I do not intend on having to purchase any more. Hopefully in a years time I can be challenging for some medals
UKRP 5 lyfe
lol ukrp
