Mit dem juengsten us-amerikanischen Seitenwechsel ist den Strategen Asterias wieder einmal ein Meisterstueck gelungen. Nicht nur hat es die balance of power zwischen den Allianzen empflindlich gestoert, sondern auch - zusammen mit dem Zerfall von Sirius - einen Grossangriff Asterias auf Polen ermoeglicht.

Konnten die Staaten aus Ex-Sirius, Aurora, Root und Pacifica ihre Gegner aus Asteria, Leto und Asgard bei guter Koordination mehr oder weniger leicht unter den Griff bekommen, hat sich jetzt das internationale Allianzgefuege deutlich zugunsten Asterias und ihrer Verbuendeten verschoben.

Warum die USA die Seiten gewechselt haben, darueber muss nicht zuviel spekuliert werden. Zu tief sitzt den Amerikanern die Angst vor einer erneuten Invasion und Ausradierung ihres Landes im Nacken. Noch in guter Erinnerung ist die Invasion der Vereinigten Staaten durch die TWO-Mitglieder Serbien, Polen, Ungarn und Spanien vor mehr als einem Jahr.

Und nachdem Argentinien zum dritten Mal in diesem Jahr mit einem Angriff auf die USA gedroht hatten, gaben die Nordamerikaner der erpresserischen argentinischen Aussenpolitik schliesslich nach und wechselten ins gegnerische Lager, nicht ohne zuvor wieder einmal einen Verbuendeten verkauft zu haben.

Eingeleitet wurde diese Entwicklung mit dem Angriff Argentiniens auf Spanien vor mehr als sechs Monaten, als die Gauchos zuerst offen mit einer Landung in den USA drohten, hinterher aber einen Nichtangriffspakt mit den Vereinigten Staaten abschlossen und die USA deshalb aus Sirius ausgeschlossen wurden. Auf der Strecke blieb Spanien, das vergeblich auf einen Entlastungsangriff der Nordamerikaner gehofft hatten, und stattdessen eine wochenlange Besatzung durch Argentinien erdulden musste.

Vor mehr als einem Monat scheiterte dann nur knapp ein durchaus ernsthafter Versuch Argentiniens, die USA mittels eines Airstrikes auf Mexiko anzugreifen. Nur durch den massiven Geldeinsatz fuer Combat Orders konnte eine Invasion der US verhindert werden, brachte aber die USA an den Rand eines Bankrotts. Fuer einen weiteren Angriff haetten die Vereinigten Staaten nicht mehr uber die fuer COs noetigen Geldreserven verfuegt. Unmittelbar nach der Abwehr des argentinischen Luftangriffs erhoehte der US-Kongress die Arbeitssteuer von acht auf zwoelf Prozent. Doch bis die angepeilte strategischen Reserven von 15 Millionen USD wiederhergestellt sein werden, duerften noch fuenf bis sechs Monaten ins Land ziehen.

Als Argentinien juengst zum dritten Mal ganz unverhohlen mit einer Invasion drohte, ging den USA auf gut deutsch der “Arsch auf Grundeis”. Kurzerhand zogen die Vereinigten Staaten die Notbremse und stossen ihre bisherigen Verbuendeten vor den Kopf. Aus Angst vor Argentinien und um weiterhin “Farmville” spielen zu koennen,i schlossen die Nordamerikaner nicht nur einen Nichtangriffspakt mit allen Laendern Asterias und Letos, sondern auch gemeinsame Verteidigungsbuendnisse mit Griechenland und Argentinien, und weitere duerften folgen.

Zugleich zoegerten die USA auch nicht, ihrem bislang treuesten Verbuendeten Mexiko kurzerhand den Ruecken zu kehren, koennen die US doch aufgrund dieses NAPs keinen Krieg gegen Kolumbien mehr fuehren. Als ueberaus zynisch mag daher die Verlaengerung des MPPs zwischen den USA und Mexiko erscheinen.

Ob sich die USA auch aktiv juengste in die Asteria-Offensive gegen Polen einschalten werden, bleibt abzuwarten. Doch wer nach all den amerikanischen Bockspruengen in diesem Jahres die USA als verlaesslichen Buendnispartner erachtet, duerfte mit Blindheit geschlagen sein.

About the US changing sides

The recent changeover of the US is once again a master piece for Asteria´s strategists. Not only the balance of power between the alliances has been disturbed severely, but also - alongside with the collapse of Sirius - a major Asteria attack on Poland was made possible.

Could the states from the former Sirius, Aurora, Root, and Pacifica handle more or less their opponents from Asteria, Leto and Asgard with good coordination, now the international structure of alliances has clearly shifted in favor of Asteria and its allies.

Why the US has changed sides, about that someone doesn´t have to speculate too much. Too deep is the Americans´ fear of a renewed invasion and erasure of their country. Still in good memory is the invasion of the United States by the TWO members Serbia, Poland, Hungary and Spain about a year ago.

And after Argentina had threatened for the third time this year with an attack on the United States, the North Americans gave way to the extortionate Argentine foreign policy and deserted into the enemy´s camp, not without selling out an ally once again.

Only through the massive use of money for Combat Orders an invasion of the US could be prevented, but it brought the US on the brink of bankruptcy. For another attack the United States wouldn´t have had the necessary money reserves for COs. Immediately after the defense of the Argentine air attack the US Congress increased the work taxes from eight to twelve percent. But until the targeted strategic reserves of $ 15 million will be restored again, maybe another five to six month will pass by.

When Argentina threatened recently for the third time with an invasion, the US felt their heart had drop into their boots. Without further ado, the United States tightened the emergency brake and offended their former allies. For fear of Argentina and to be able to continue playing "Farmville", the North Americans not only joined into a non-aggression pact with all countries of Asteria and Leto, but also signed mutual protection pacts with Greece and Argentina, and others are likely to follow.

Sobre el cambio de bandos de los EE.UU.

Con el reciente cambio de bandos de los Estados Unidos, los estrategas de Asteria han logrado una obra maestra una vez más. No sólo el equilibrio de poder entre las alianzas ha sido perturbado severamente, sino también - junto con el colapso de Sirius - ha hecho posible un ataque de Asteria contra Polonia.

Antes los estados de ex-Sirius, Aurora, Root y Pacifica podian dominar mas o menos facilmente a sus adversarios de Asteria, Leto y Asgard cuando concordaban en la coordinacíon, pero ahora el sistema de las alianzas ha cambiado claramente en favor de Asteria y sus aliados.

¿Por qué los EE.UU. ha cambiado de bando, sobre esa pregunta no hay que especular mucho. Los norteamericanos tienen metido el miedo en su cuerpo demasiado profundo ante otra invasión y borrado de su país.Todavía buen recordado esta la invasión de los Estados Unidos por los TWO miembros Serbia, Polonia, Hungría y España hace más de un año antes.

Y después de que Argentina había amenazado por tercera vez este año con un ataque a los Estados Unidos, los norteamericanos cedieron a la política exterior chantajista de Argentina y finalmente pasaron gradualmente al campo enemigo pero no sin antes haber vendido otra vez un aliado.

Todo esto se ha desarollado hace mas de seis meses con el ataque de Argentina a España, cuando los Gauchos amenazaron por primera vez abiertamenteprimero con una invasíon de los EE.UU., pero cerraban después con un pacto de no agresión con los Estados Unidos y los norteamericanos, por tanto, fueron excluidos de Sirius. Se cayó en la cuneta España, que había esperado en vano una ataque de distracción por parte de los estadounidenses, y en lugar de esto tenia que soportar una ocupación de varios semanas por parte de Argentina.

Hace más de un mes, un intento serio de Argentina de atacar a los EE.UU. a traves de un ataque aereo a Mexico falló por poco. Sólo potr el uso masivo de dinero para las órdenes de combate podían prevenir una invasión de los EE.UU., pero esto llevó a los EE.UU. al borde de la quiebra. Para defenderse contra otro ataque los Estados Unidos no tenían las reservas de dinero necesarias. Inmediatamente después de repelar el ataque aéreo argentino el Congreso de Estados Unidos aumentó el impuesto al trabajo de ocho a doce por ciento. Pero hasta que las reservas estratégicas avisadas en 15 millones de dólares serán restaurados, podrían pasar cinco o seis meses.

Cuando Argentina hace poco amenazó abiertamente por tercera vez con una invasión, los miedos de los EE.UU tocaron fondo. Sin más preámbulos, los Estados Unidos echaron el freno de emergencia y ofendieron a sus antiguos aliados. Por temor a Argentina y para poder continuar con su juego de "Farmville", los norteamericanos no sólo firmaron un pacto de no agresión con todos los países Asterias y Leto, pero también pactos de proteccíon mutua con Grecia y Argentina, y otros pueden seguir.

Al mismo tiempo, los EE.UU. no dudaron en darle la espalda a su hasta entonces leal aliado México, por qué con la firma del NAP los EE.UU ya no pueden ir a la guerra contra Colombia. Por tanto, la reciente renovacíon del MPP entre EE.UU y Mexico parece como extremadamente cínico.

Si los Estados Unidos también participan activamente en la reciente ofensiva de Asteria contra Polonia está por verse. Pero el quién considera los EE.UU., después de todo los saltos de potro en este año como aliado fiable, es probable que tenga una venda en los ojos.
