[WTP Party] An interview with Oblige

Tag 1,914, 15:12 von Clint Carmel

Oblige needs little introduction to many of you. His resume speaks for itself. But I'm a new player, and so I wrote to him and asked him a little about himself and his plans for March, his opinion on the other political parties, and some other tidbits I was curious about.

Now that he is the clear front-runner, here is a little something about him for those of you who are curious.

I wrote to him:

Hi. My name is Clint. I recently joined WTP, and I'm fairly certain I'm the newest player here. So I was wondering if you wouldn't mind answering a question or two. Answer any or all that spark your interest. (I've read your post where you pick Mazzy as your VP, and I know you're an established player, but I'm very new so everyone else probably knows the answers to these questions but I don't.)

I see that you are running for Party President of the WTP Party. Why? What are your credentials? What are your goals? What do you hope to accomplish? How do you feel about the current state of eUS politics? Thoughts, if any, on SPQR?

How do you feel about the AFA? FED? AMP? USWP?

And most importantly, how do you feel about WTP? How would you increase recruitment? How would you increase activity of 'two-clickers?' What do you think of our current wiki page? (I just made it this week.)

Oblige answered back:

Why am I running for PP?
- Because I'd like to shape the future of our party and believe I have a vision to improve things for it.

What are my credentials?
My curriculum vitae:
★ Four Consecutive Terms as President of these eUnited States
★ Four term Secretary of State
★ One term Secretary of Defense
★ Four term Secretary General of TERRA
★ Commanding Officer of the Special Forces
★ Ten term Congressman
★ Two term Deputy Speaker of the House
★ Economics Council Member
★ eNPR / Forum Benefactor
★ 3 Term vCP of Germany
★ 3 Term MoFA of China
★ 1 Term MoFA of Brazil

What are my goals?
To establish an infrastructure for party management that will last for months to come.

How do I feel about the AFA?
They're PTOers trying to destroy the country, so I would say negatively.

How do I feel about other parties?
My last role was interparty affairs, so I'd say fairly positively.

How would I increase recruitment?
I've asked n0s3 with that job. He will not fail.

What do I think about the Wiki?
It's a great tool for retention and providing history to new players.

Oblige, thank you very much for taking the time to respond.

"My curriculum vitae" What the heck is, "vitae"? I'm just a guy, not much Latin in my world.

Soft ball interview, but interviews are usually good media. Keep it up. V.

Closest Latin>English translation is "the course of my life" (curriculum = course; vitae = life). It's basically his resume.

So how come the little dude doesn't say "resume"?

Deificus

Because it's Oblige.

Curriculum vitae or commonly known CV is usually a European way of saying resume!

Deificus
Deificus Tag 1,915, 11:01

Well, we also use CV in America... but usually, we limit it to academic and medical fields and they go into much greater detail than a typical resume. It's not uncommon to see 25+ page CVs. Again, because Oblige.

Oblige has to have just about the best resume out there...

Thank you, Clint. As a fellow new player, I know what it's like to be "out of the loop" when it comes to knowing candidates' platforms and personalities. Keep up the good work!
