Never give the money or the good to him before you get the money or the good unless you are in the irc itrade channel and he has voice.

永遠不要先給對方錢或東西, 除非你在irc itrade 頻道且對方有voice以上的階級 =.=

Instead, a better way to conduct trade, if you have to do it outside eRepublik channels, is to ask for a down payment and to do in small amounts. For example, if a player is selling 500 Q7 for $10 each, instead of paying that player $5,000 TWD, ask that player to give you small amounts of Q7 or give him/her small amounts of money first. If you practice that way and you get scammed, at least you can cut your losses. Or, do multiple small trades. Cut 500 Q7 into 50 Q7 deals and do it 10x. Bottom line is, without an enforcer, trading out-of-market is very risky and should be avoided.

Another thing, at least trade with players with a high level. Low level players are most likely multis/scammers. High level players will tend to be more trustworthy. They have more to lose from dishonor.
