[UKPP] Hansard Report #01

---Hansard Report #01---

First Week of Congress

The great news is, the UKPP got 8 Members elected to the 40 person eUK Congress. Now, I became Chief Whip, and hold responsibility for reporting to our constituents, the eBritish People.

Continued War Effort

We have secured Northern Ireland, Wales and the West Midlands. There is still fighting to be done, and we still have to fight both Canada & Argentina.

Unfortunately, Poland recently took London.... and then beat us in a resistance war, costing eUK citizens £10k and keeping the region under their control.

Due to lack of ALL, but MoF, communication from the Government, we do not know the details of the SIRIUS counter-attack or Polish support. The CP has shown contempt for Congress, thinking he can ignore us because we have not impeached him on 2 occasions, even with a Yes majority in the latter vote.

Rest assured, Congress decided against the impeachment for a single reason, the lack of an alternative; as ClairV0yance did not even have a manifesto and Ragnell of the TUP got banned.

Future of the eUK

I am so disappointed in the CP this month, I had such high hopes for the term of Sir Humphrey, as I am sure my fellow UKPP'ers did, and we have been left dejected and in silence.

I presented the following to Congress;

“That this House condemns the Country President of eUK for the term 6th June to 5th July 2014, Sir Humphrey Appleby. They do this for his inactivity, inability to communicate, military mistakes and failure to fulfil election promises.”

Speaker and On the Forums

On Speaker; The UKPP opposes the election as it did not conform to the law as written by previous Congress, and ClairV0yance 'won' out of the 4 candidates:

5 iadrastos
5 malkaiser
7 clairV0yance
5 rob the bruce

Now, on the forum. Primarily, the Reform of the Speaker Act. The Act extends nomination periods, removes the PP approval requirement, and allows 48 hours after Congress results before election for Speaker to allow confirmation of elections.

The Congress is also discussing 'Experimenting with Tax Changes' as presented by iAdastros. There seems to be a growing consensus towards a 1% income tax increase, but also expenditure cuts.

FOR: According to the MoF each % rise in Work tax would be worth around 3000cc a day (http://prntscr.com/3y4jv5), which over a 30 day month would net the treasury an additional 90,000cc- and a lot could be done with that kind of money to help the eUK.

AGAINST: 10% Income and VAT - Someone on the Fair wage scheme would pay north of £300 per month if they only worked every other day, some MU chap working near Warsaw pays £0 per month but does so daily with fights to boot.

Well, that is it from me, vote, shout and comment if you like 😃

Many thanks,
