Join the new world

The UK CP Sir Humphrey Appleby has made both Madelina de Melrose and myself 'Ministers of Information' for the UK. Here is what we will be doing this term:

'-A few introductory articles about the structure of our government/constitutionalism & how to get involved

-A ‘how the game works’ series/teaching up those that would like to know more

-Helping organise suggestions for improvements to the game that we can go with our allies to and see if they agree/then try and force negotiations with the admins if it really takes off'


The UK government 6/7/15 - 5/8/15

Sir Humphrey Appleby (Appleby) has decided to run the government in a new style. The UK is 'against the ropes' and hopefully this new way of operating will be more effective. Appleby has chosen the tried and tested formation of two Ministers in each of the key Ministries with one MoF (still a key Ministry) and one vice Country President (vCP):

vice Country President: Aaron Mark Daniels

Ministry of Finance: WookieO

Ministers of Defence: Scarfar & Sir Jimmy Savile

Ministers of Foreign Affairs: Sambo & Fataliix

Ministers of Information: Max Blue & Madelina

Ministers of Entertainment: Gali & Rob the Bruce


Appleby has also created a pool of the most active minds in the UK, given them a spot in a mass PM and basically opened the door for anyone to do a little bit in this Ministry or that one. Hopefully this will add more fluidity to government, allowing Ministers to avoid some of the inactivity that can creep in during the mid-late part of the term. If you want to be included in that pool of minds message Appleby sooner rather than later.


What is the Ministry of Infomation?

Basically it is the Ministry of Education which was always about educating the population, but now with relaying what is going on behind closed doors in the government and congress as well. The MoI might be given an official organisation to write articles from; if we are I expect I will still write some from my newspaper as well as the official newspaper as there will be lots and lots of articles (some days more than one, but on quieter days don't be surprised if we have anything to say).


UK congress

At the moment the UK congress is quiet with turnout for votes very low. This is likely to be due to the UK being wiped and congress feeling powerless without buttons (due to us being in an elected Dictatorship). Congress are currently considering disbanding due to the low activity rate and the fact that some believe they have no mandate as the activity level is around 1/3.
