[UK GOV] UK and Relations with several countries (Part 2)

Some days ago, We began a long article where we explained relations between UK and some countries.
Due to the length, we preferred to split it in 2 parts. The first was about countries who always been an UK ally and countries who were opposed to UK and now are our friends.
Part 2 will be about countries who were our friends but decided to see if the grass was greener of the other side of the bench and those who always be considered as an UK enemy



3- Countries who were our friends and decided to be our enemies

France



Probably the most controversial story, we shared common past but currently : we are enemies.
We were allies in PEACE GC, even when they were in Entente : we continued to have good relations with them. Shortly after the end of Entente, they joined Phoenix.
When Phoenix collapsed : They chose Terra (mainly because Hungary wasn't there) and wanted the UK with them. But Terra wasn't a good choice for our country. Despite that, we shared a treaty (with Germany) called the Strasbourg Treaty which was a Non aggression pact.
At the beginning : there was no problem but the closer France was to EDEN, the more the relationship became difficult. France began to sign MPPs with Eden (and especially damaging for the relationship, Croatia), However some French military Units decided to not follow Strasbourg and French governments did nothing to resolve the problem.
Even if we were allied with Poland the UK continued to respect Strasbourg and we never fought for them on an original French region.
One day : during Canada’s attack on London, we caught their Minister of Foreign Affairs helping Canada. No apologies were made for that. Month after month relations became were worse. One of their MoFA made everything who was possible to break the treaty between our countries and considered UK as traitor (even if we were the only country who respected the treaty from the beginning to the end). With Terra and Eden forces : they decided to invade our beloved country.
Recently : they sign a treaty with Germany – Ireland – Portugal in which they renamed London and consider South of England as their original regions.
Without any reason, they closed UK embassy on their forum and the consequence was that we did the same on our forum.

Their current government wants better relationship with UK but they haven't yet take any contact with us
We will not hide that relations are broken. On a forum poll, they are the most hated country after Ireland

Germany



Story between Germany and UK is a little bit like the french one (except that our 2 countries have no borders). We were friends in PEACE GC and Phoenix and at the beginning of Terra. Like with France, we shared Strasbourg's treaty. When we left Terra and became Pro-ONE, they never accepted that we signed a MPP with Poland but they saw no problem to sign MPPs with Eden countries (who were always involved in UK's attacks). Recently, when Ireland invaded London, they decided to make a vendetta against UK.
Relations between our 2 countries are not that bad than those with France but currently, we have no reason to not fight against them

Netherlands



Once again, we were together in Peace GC and Phoenix. During Phoenix times : we helped them against Poland (who was an enemy of UK at that time) by friendly invasion of their country to close an old war between their country and Poland.
When Phoenix collapsed, Netherlands remains neutral because no alliance had huge interests to invite them. They begin to be Pro-Terra when Poland invaded them(There was neutrality between UK and Poland). After sometimes, they were able (with Teden help) to defeat Poland via Resistance wars. Even with we took separate ways : one of their presidents decided to have some fun with our country (we fought against Canada and Ireland at that time), even if they had some fun : it never helped to have correct relations.
Some months ago, another Dutch CP decided to put their country on Eden's arms and they joined Eden's junior alliance called “Garden of Eden alliance”.

We have no hate against them but because we took separate ways (UK in ONE and Netherlands is in Junior Eden's alliance) : it is difficult to have good relations

Some other countries who were our friends and turn their back : Russia, Bulgaria, Brazil, Argentina and more recently : Turkey. Most of the time : there is little contact with these countries but we are not closed minded and have no problems to talk with them.



4- Countries who always been our enemies

Ireland



They are clearly our nemesis, and it is the same for them. Chances to see Ireland and UK friends are 0%
Mainly for real life issues but also historical ingame issues, Ireland and United Kingdom are enemies. They are very good to reject the fault on our country but things are different.
Long time ago, Ireland thought that Northern Ireland was one of their regions, and their dream is to have a “United Ireland”. Like in the real world , Northern Ireland is a UK region and there is no reason to change that..
Currently, it is very hard to say how many times they tried to have NI. They are sure that this region is one of them and they wrote to admin to change that.
Negotiations with Ireland are almost impossible : They want Northern Ireland without giving something in exchange. Asking one of their resources (Fruits) will put them in the posirion to ask more and of course : they will propose UK as Natural Enemy because their congress wants war.

Canada



One of the best allies of Ireland and like them : we share borders.
Except the brief moment when we were together in Terra, we always been on opposite side although our relationship has had far less animosity involved than that with Ireland. One interesting fact about them is that they are the only country who is in Terra and in Eden.
Long time enemy, they are also good to troll our medias. Attacking one of our regions when we sleep is not a problem but if we attack one of their regions when they sleep : it is a scandal.
Also we have some difficulty in trusting them.

USA



A long time ago, we were in the same alliance (Atlantis) but this alliance split, leading to a difficult relationship with them ever since.. They joined Eden, created Brolliance and after Terra. Like we said many times on this article : we were in Peace GC and Phoenix before joining ONE.

During a short time (after the end of Phoenix and before we were Pro-ONE) : we were on the same alliance but the USA considered UK as Cannon Fodder to protect their country. During a conflict between our Country and Ireland, they decided to help them instead to help UK (and we were in the same alliance). The consequence was that UK left Terra.

Also, when we were in Terra and had a deal with Serbia (UK gave 2 regions to Serbia and in exchange, we received 250G per month and a free MPP) : they made everything who it was possible to destroy it.
The fact that they are good friends with Canada and Ireland doesn't help to have good relations between our 2 countries. US population has a bad opinion of UK and it is the same for us

Croatia



Every country who friend with Serbia is automatically considered as an enemy by Croatia. We always been on the opposite side and we don't think that it will change on the next months. First of all, they colonized Ireland and half of their government is composed of Croatians. Like we explained : Ireland is UK's nemesis. We don't have direct relations but we don't like them. Several times : they fought hard against us (with the goal to put UK out of the map). In the past : they tried to PTO our country. Even if it is one of the strongest country of erepublik (but behind Serbia), Chances to built a friendship (or at least reasonable relations) are near 0% at the moment.

On countries who always been on the opposite side of UK : we can also add China, Romania, Greece
