Join the new world

Hello Everyone!
It’s George here and I am happy to announce my candidacy for Party President of the greatest of all eUK parties: the TUP!



Here’s an outline of what I will include in this article:

1: What experience do I have?
2: What are my goals for this month?
3: How will I build off of what the previous PP has done?
4: What is my vision of what the TUP will be when I leave office?
So here we go….


Who the Hell are you?
I am an RN member and have been at various points going all the way back to the HMS Baker and HMS Hind days.

For the last month I was a member of the eUS Military and was a platoon CO. During my time in the US, I have build relationships that could be useful as the eUK charts a new path in terms of Post-Sirius membership.

I am currently serving as a Junior Deputy MoD, which means that I am involved in the cabinet to a small degree.

I was a congressman for the TUP in October and have been active in the unofficial “shadow parliament” that we have had since our wipe.

Finally, I have been a member of the TUPAC or TUP Advising Council, which helps to set policy in the party.

If I am elected Party President, my goals for the party are:

To prepare a CP candidate for the next election.

While Jny123 was a decent candidate for CP, he threw his hat in the ring far too late to make a serious bid for president. With only days left until the election, he did not have time to really develop a platform to run on and the Party had even less room to build the alliances with other top parties to ensure election. Especially when running against such a strong candidate a CptChazBeard, this is a completely unwinnable situation. Therefore, I want to start looking for a candidate immediately, so that the Party can begin grooming him for success in the next election.

To encourage the expansion of the TUP community.

I want the TUP to be not just a Party, but also a community. I will promote the use of the forum and also expand In-Game PM systems so that everyone can get involved and we can get new players more involved in Party life.

To Create a strong TUP led Congress

This month is a big month for Congress. The wipe left us with no official congress. In the next big election, we will form a whole new congress. As Party president, I will be responsible for selecting the official candidates for Congress. I want to create a balance of both experienced elder statesmen and new fresh faces. With so many old players quiting the game, it is important to create a new cohort of players who have the experience to replace them and keep the Party Strong!


I forgive you VoodooMike!

VoodooMike71 was a great Party President, but I think there is a lot I can do to continue where he left off.

I thought the creation of the TUPAC was an awesome idea. It allowed a larger group of Party Members beyond just the PP, VP, Councillor, Secretary General, and Spokesman. I will continue this organization to help guide the policy of the party and to allow players who want to be more involved to do so, without taking on a big time commitment job.

One criticism I have for VoodooMike’s regime was that he didn’t spend a lot of effort building relationships with other parties. If I am elected, I will create lines of dialogue with the PPs of the other top 10 parties. This will allow for the creation of a ruling coalition that can ensure the election of either ours or a favorable CP and help to create a strong Congress.


Should I survive being in office...

When I leave office I want to see the Unity Party to continue on as #1 in membership, #1 in congressmen and with a TUP member as CP. I want a strong community held together by both the wealth of experience of our members and also the drive and enthusiasm of the young turks. I want the Unity Party to not only be the biggest party, but also the hands down BEST!
