Hostages taken in local Italian restaurant in Östersund.

Trondheim, the starting point for the events of today

In the late evening of Thursday the Norwegian police in Trondheim received information about a local businessman who has been forwarding top secret information to the Italian authorities. While the police was trying to lock down the area in Trondheim the suspect took hostages and fled over the border to Sweden with Norwegian Forces in pursuit. In Östersund the suspect's Italian car eventually broke down which let him take refuge in an Italian Restaurant. The suspect has taken hostage about 30 guests of the restaurant, most of them Italians.

The spokesman of the joint Asgard operation in Östersund told at a press conference "The suspect drove an Italian saloon car on the E14 towards Östersund. Our intelligence sources did some statistic calculations evaluating the driving style, speed and road conditions and told us the car was to break down 'somewhere in Östersund'. The car eventually developed heavy problems just outside of Östersund and finally was unable to drive any further when reaching the city center. Thanks to our intelligence reports Swedish forces had already arrived in the city and we could lock down the area in question in a matter of minutes."

The suspect threatened to force the hostages to eat pizza if his demands were not met

Swedish and Norwegian forces have secured Östersund and locked down the area in question. "The suspect has threatened to force the guests to eat pizza and pasta all day long if our forces would not withdraw." explains a high level officer of the joint Asgard operation in Östersund "However, since we are not negotiating with terrorists, we are right now preparing to attack the restaurant. The president of Sweden has given green light to destroy the entire restaurant if needed. It's not that any Scandinavian has been visiting that restaurant anyways ever since the occupation began."
