Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.

Today I start a series of interviews with ”old” players of eIndia (oters are warned).
For general ambient imagine we are talking in the eAshram, under the shade of a nice, tall tree, sipping from our coup of chai. A friends talk.

As you noticed from the title, today guest is Bhoolenath.

So, how you start playing eR, was it in Beta, in v1 ?
It was in initial days of v1. I got here through an Orkut ad (still remember it)
Tell me more about this add 🙂 how it convinced you to join the game, and how you ... feel the game at the beginning ?
The ad was actually a map of Europe with an arrow showing one country attacking another. The slogan was something like 'A new war has started.'
When I joined the game, India had just liberated one region from Romania (Orissa, I think) and a new government was formed with BroodRoosterNL as CP
So, you are the warrior (Kshatriya) type 🙂. And how was in the first month of game, what you remember from then ?
... in the same month, India got a hospital (which was a huge deal in those days) and our little country started its unique journey
Who was the CP back then ?
BroodRoosterNL was cp when we got the hospital
Oh, our flying dutch friend. Nice.
Next month, I published a guide on how to fight and use the hospital smartly.
Anjan Sarkar had just been elected the CP, he saw my article and made me Minister of Media
Now, how you entered in the India community, how you related with the players ? India was a very open community back then.
After that I published a lot of articles in a short time
Aha, media attracted you ?
Yep, many propaganda articles too 😃. Back in those days we used MSN Messenger for co-ordinating and chatting, IRC was a much later phenomenon
You where one of the proeminent players in eIndia, always connected to Management. How you get in this position ?
I was active is all, we had very few players and every small effort was noticed 🙂 , and yeah, writing insane amounts of articles too 😛
What other ... dynos you meet in eIndia when you arrived ?
I first met Anjan, then David Forde sort of mentored and guided me, became good friends with shail, irked srachit a bit 😛
There was a very kind guy named ambrose didymus, and hs1975 was a baby back then.
what about ePolitics ? how you get used with eIndia PP and her political life ?
Hmm that
It was PTO season soon in India after first few months... Iranians were the main villians, so PP job became quite important
I think David asked me to run for PP when he was CP
On DPI ?
Nah, India United - the one and original Indian party

Ok, thanks. Now, what was the best time, the greatest event, for you in this game ?
Best time was the AHF days.
We had a gang in IRC, full day chatting and stuff 😃, it was India's best time, imo.
And I also fell in love with a girl during that time 😃

The soul of this game lies in community. It's incredible how people have stuck to this game even after 6 years. And it teaches you a lot more than games like say CoD. So many people have learnt such skills from this game which have helped them in real life too. I got the confidence to write more after seeing the positive responses from other players to my articles which will now stay with me forever. So, if you do play this game, try to get involved more in the community - staying back in the shadows isn't gonna work!
