Hello Ireland
After one day of being President of Ireland I think it is time for some change, Our Country is fairly "dry" and activity is an alarming low level. I hope to change this soon.
First off, I have tasked the Minister of Industry with stockpiling food and we should hopefully be able to give out rations for most, if not all, eIrish Citizens who request it.
I also hope, by stockpiling this food, we will cut down on any fluctuations in the market which should keep prices at an appealing price for all. Stilpo will be taking over this Department a long with a Deputy.
On further contemplation I have decided not to join both the MoF and the MoInd as I need them seperate for now
Minister of Finance - I have given the position of Minister of Finance to Annaille Kolshire and amal3k, both widely trusted and respected citizens of Ireland. Kolshire will be treasurer of our new bank and I have tasked Amal3k creating an Income/Expenditure sheet for eIreland and a budget, I urge all Ministers to message amal3k with any necessary expenditure they might need. He should hopefully be coming up with some schemes for gathering more gold which should hopefully give us more available resources too work with.
Minister of Education These Ministers will stay the same, Sean and Sennan are both enthuasiastic about the term. I have spoken to Sennan about creating a rotational media presence with Guides and other such articles. It is my plan to have 1 Article (on a particular subject) in the Media at all times. They have some great ideas themselves.
Minister of Defense - The MoD position has been given to irishbhoy1967, a very competent eIrish Citizen and a past president. He has been MoFA 3 times on two different continents and has run a very successful para military organisation. He will be revising which companies are needed and hopefully getting some organisation back into the Department.
My Vice President - I have charged the role of Vice President to a relatively new player (in some peoples eyes), Stark Hater. He is a past President of Ireland and knows what he is doing. Many thanks Stark.
Communication in Government - In my own opinion, I find the IRC to be one of the most useful tools we have at present, so I urge all citizens and especially all ministers to be active as much as possible. It is also a requirement for all IRC active ministers to be present in #theorangeplace when they are on the IRC, this will improve communication and hopefully make things a hell of a lot more effeicent.

What I find funny is the way we now have a Minister of Defence who is banned from the national forums, and if public opinion is anything to go by, will remain banned. hehe...Oh the entertainment!

I do not question that the lad has done good things and having a second chance has nothing to do with why this is a bad, bad idea. This will cause conflict and division within the country, and to of all positions put him as MoD.... That position requires a leader which commands loyalty. This lad has not yet regained that trust and loyalty of the people. It is to early for him to do a comeback.

Surely you cannot speak for all of the people of Ireland? I find it ridiculous that my banning from the forums required no democratic process whatsoever, but my unbanning does. This, and not me, makes a joke of everything that country is supposed to be. If we want to claim what the people want then a public vote is needed, failing that I will run for President next term and you can gauge public opinion from that.
To the people calling me a thief. Give me a trial and convict me, otherwise you have no right to make statements that are completely inaccurate and have only one purpose, the blackening of my name.

While I do not speak for the whole of ireland, it is still safe to say that the matter of you as a MoD is controversial, to put it mildly.
This is a bit unfortunate since it mixes some separate issues. 1. issue is your documented actions. 2. issue is your banning. 3. issue is your return. 4. issue is if you are forgiven yet. 5. issue is your appointment to MoD. Perhaps there are more, but these suffice to ilustrate that it is a complex thing that we are talking about, and often mix up.
I think it would have been best for all if you would have started in a more humble and less influential position and earned back the trust of the nation in a more timely fashion.
Loyalty and trust are earned, they cannot be granted by appointment by a CP. It is as simple as that.

I have been Commanding and organising at least half of Ireland's military strength for the past 6 weeks. I worked along with the previous Government in doing so, and played a key role in the successful Northern Ireland invasion and in the defence of North Dakota. I have fought in every battle involving Ireland putting up more damage than almost anyone in each case, all while being MoFA of an organised and developed Eden nation.
And, even after all that, I did have my reservations about MoD which is why I PMed Marcus and literally begged him to take the position before I agreed to it. Nobody wanted the god damn job, now everybody is crying like babies when they are not happy with the actual appointment.
There is nobody in this country more qualified for any military position than I am. If people want to let emotion get in the way that is their loss. Emotion has no place in military affairs. I will unite the armies of Ireland, there will be order and there will be discipline in the armed forces of Ireland. The Irish military will pack a punch, it will be strong. The Military is not f**king kindergarden. Furthermore military positions are not a democratic process. It is upto the President of Ireland, ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE, to choose the MoD.

Ibhoy would make an excellent MoD, I can assure you. I don't know where he gets his energy for this from but it's of a perpetual nature, and he devotes more time and resources to the cause of "eIreland" than many.
Agreed though it's a controversial move, anyway so what? Don't get boring. Things could be fun.
Anyway if this impeachment passes I'll probably move back to Spain. Seriously, this is a game, stop all the fighting and just play it ...

You've chosen the best MoD that I could imagine. Fair play, make the most of the prez term. If you don't choose the people you actually want in each position then you will spend your term trying to pussyfoot around people. Best of luck with this term, maintain this attitude and this will be a great one which could change eIreland forever. o7
