[MoFA] Entrevista com TheJuliusCaesar [PT/EN]

O MoFA tem o prazer de vos apresentar a 1ª entrevista deste mandato a uma personalidade estrangeira.

O entrevistado é um jogador conhecido pelas suas grandes análises.
É o atual MoFA finlandês (posição que já ocupou por 15 vezes), já foi CP por uma ocasião, conta com 19 mandatos no congresso e foi SG da extinta Asgard.

1- Faz-nos uma breve apresentação sobre ti, por favor:

Ugh, odeio apresentar-me. Bem, sou um estudante de 19 anos de Helsínquia, que aproveita o verão e assim. Os invernos são bastante frios aqui no Norte. Já estou pelo eRepublik há 4 anos, a política externa é o que mais me motiva para continuar no jogo. A comunidade é a segunda essência, enquanto que o módulo jornalístico é o terceiro. A melhor coisa é que essas três coisas são facilmente interligadas.

2- O que sabes sobre os portugueses?

A comunidade finlandesa, no seu todo, pouco contacto teve com a comunidate portuguesa. Eu fui membro da Mobile Elite Korps, uma MU portuguesa, no passado. Boa gente, foram bons tempos. Lembro-me de Portugal entrar numa guerra contra Espanha algures nos últimos tempos, e ajudou os Estados Unidos a wipar os espanhóis. Pelo menos temos um inimigo em comum 😛


3- Que futuro vês numa relação entre os nossos países, sendo que a Finlândia é um país pró-Asteria?

A aliança da qual a Finlândia faz parte, Pacífica, inclina-se para o bloco Asteria, é verdade. Como Portugal se juntou recentemente à Asteria como já foi mencionado, não vejo nenhuma razão para que as nossas relações não aumentem num futuro próximo. A Finlândia e Portugal tiveram poucas ou nenhumas interações, pelo que diria que a nossa relação atual é de neutralidade. Eu não tenho nada contra uma maior interação com os portugueses e penso que no geral nenhum finlandês se opõe.

4- Que prato típico finlandês, música e local, recomendas a um português?

Prato: O prato seria, sem dúvida, Mämmi. Delicioso!.
Música: A música que eu recomendaria não seria uma tradicional. Em vez disso, recomendo “Tänään sä musta hullaannut” por Tiisu é uma publicação recente. O artista é um recém-chegado à cena rock finlandês e tem ganho bastante popularidade nos recentemente. E bem, se quiseres mesmo uma música tradicional, “Sandstorm” de Darude é uma excelente escolha.
Local: Em relação a lugares, tenho que dizer Helsínquia durante o verão. É relativamente quente, a cidade é bonita e a luz é imensa - até 20 horas por dia. Embora seja uma cidade um pouco cara, à semelhança de toda a zona nórdica.

5- Qual a maior qualidade e o maior defeito da comunidade finlandesa?

Falhas? A comunidade finlandesa não tem falhas nem defeitos. Bem, uh, com total honestidade acho que a nossa maior falha é possivelmente a excessiva ganância com a conquista de medalhas verdadeiro patriota. A Finlândia raramente está em estado de paz, sem uma guerra no nosso território - normalmente o alvo é a Estónia que faz fronteira connosco a Sul. Quando um aliado nos pede apoio, nós gerimos os nossos conflitos por forma a ajudá-los. Naturalmente. A atividade é o que contribui para que a diminuição da população finlandesa não se acentue. Apesar da maioria ser silenciosa, existe um grupo de 50 pessoas ativas que mantém a nação a funcionar. E fazem-no de uma forma admirável bem.

6 - Quais são os objetivos do governo finlandês para este mês?

Temos alguns objetivos principais para outubro. Manter a continuidade nas relações estrangeiras - isto é, seguir ainda mais o caminho diplomático que temos escolhido. Respeita-nos, e respeitar-te-emos. Porém, já estamos numa posição política bastante confortável, conseguido em parte pela Doutrina Owl, assim chamada em homenagem a uma figura política internacional, e alvo de uma admiração minha imensurável, Wild Owl. Outro objectivo para este mandato é aumentar a actividade internamente, e na aliança. É sempre um objectivo a ter, que nunca prejudica ter mais discusão, mais comunicação, e mais planeamento.

Tem também havido discussões para reiniciar o programa de suporte às unidades militares com fundos governamentais. Vamos ver como isso se desenvolve.

7 - Qual o papel da Finlândia no eMundo atualmente e qual será no futuro para ti?

Nós nunca fomos um grande país, uma super potência. Isso é um facto que precisa de ser entendido internamente - o que temos feito. A Finlândia depende da sua diplomacia e dos seus aliados - que são adquiridos com diplomacia. Então tudo se resume a diplomacia e a política externa. Eu gosto de pensar que temos conquistado muito nesse domínio - do período da EDEN aos tempos da Asgard e agora Pacífica, nós temos feito grandes escolhas. Nós somos sempre leais aos nossos amigos e aliados, nós mantemos a nossa palavra e respeitamos qualquer um e toda a gente que nos respeita. E é assim que a Finlândia está.

Para mim a Finlândia sempre foi a minha casa. Claro, que já pensei emigrar para os Estados Unidos em busca de algo mais do jogo, de algo mais sério. No entanto, não importa o quão mal está a política finlandesa ou o quão silencioso será, eu não abandono e não abandonarei a Finlândia, pelo menos, por uns tempos. Este é o lugar para mim.

8 - Queres dizer algo à comunidade portuguesa?

Ficaria extremamente satisfeito por ter mais contacto com a comunidade portuguesa. Estejam à vontade para me enviar um pedido de amizade, enviar-me uma mensagem, ou abordar-me no IR! E, claro está, uma calorosa saudação aos meus amigos da MEK. Sois fantásticos.

1- Please make an introduction about you:

Ugh, hate to introduce myself. Well, I’m a 19-year-old student from Helsinki, enjoy summer and such. Winters are so bloody cold up here in the North. Been around in erepublik for four years now, foreign politics is the biggest hook which keeps me going on with this game. Community is the second essence, while media module would be the third. Best thing is that those three things are easily linkable.

2- What do you know about the Portuguese?

The Finnish community as a whole hasn’t had too many contacts with the Portuguese community so far. I myself was a part of Mobile Elite Korps, a Portuguese MU, a while back. Nice fellows, those were good times. I remember Portugal joining in a war against Spain at some point lately and helped to wipe the Spaniards with our ally United States. So we at least have an enemy in common 😛

3- What future do you see in the relationship between our countries since Finland is a pro-Asteria country?

The alliance which Finland is a member of, Pacifica, leans to the Asterian side, true. As Portugal recently joined the aforementioned alliance, I see no reason why the mutual relations wouldn’t enhance in near future. So far Finland and Portugal have had very few to none confrontations, so the relations are currently somewhat neutral, I’d say. I have nothing against interacting with the Portugese more, though, and I’d assume neither have the Finns in overall.

4- What finnish traditional dish, song and a place you would recommend to a Portuguese?

Dish: The dish would without a doubt be Mämmi. Delicious!
Song: The song which I chose is not a very traditional one. Rather, “Tänään sä musta hullaannut” by Tiisu is a somewhat fresh release. The artist is a prominent newcomer in Finnish rock scene and has gained some popularity recently. And well, if you really want a traditional one, “Sandstorm” by Darude is an excellent choice.
Place: What comes to the place, I have to say Helsinkin during summer. It is relatively warm, the city is beautiful and the light is plenty - even 20 hours a day. Somewhat expensive city, though, as practically the whole Northern Europe is.

5- What´s the highest quality and the greatest fault of the Finnish eCommunity?

Fault? The Finnish community has no faults nor flaws. Well, uh, in all honesty the greatest fault of ours is certainly the possibly excessive greed to hoard True Patriot medals. Finland rarely is in a state of peace, without a war of her own - usually the target is Estonia on our southern border. When ally is in need of support, we, however, manage to overcome this and help our friends. Naturally. Activity is still the highest quality of the steadily diminishing Finnish community. Even though the majority can be somewhat silent, the active group consists of perhaps 50 players keeps the nation running. And they do it admirably well.

6 - Which objectives the Finnish government have for this month?

We have few main aims during october. To retain the continuity in Foreign Affairs - that is, to follow the diplomatical route we have chosen to even further. Respect us and we’ll respect you. However, we are already in a pretty good position foreign politically right now, partly achieved as a side-item of the Owl Doctrine, named after a prominen foreign political figure and a target of my insurmountable admiration, Wild Owl. Another objective for the term is to enhance the activity internally as well as alliance-wide. It’s always an aim to pursue, as it never hurts to have more discussion, more communication and more planning.

There has also been tentative discussions in Finland to restart the MU-support program with government funds. We’ll need to see how that plays out.

7 - What’s the role of Finland in the eWorld nowadays or in the future for you?

We have never been a big country, a powerhouse. That is a fact that needs to be comprehended internally - which we have pretty much done. Finland relies on her diplomacy and allies - which are gained with diplomacy. So it all boils down to diplomacy and foreign politics. I’d like to think we have achieved much in that domain - from the EDEN times to Asgard to Pacifica we have made great choices. We’re always loyal to our friends and allies, we keep our word and we respect anyone and everyone who respects us. That’s where Finland stands.

For me Finland has always been the sole home. Sure, I have played around with the thought of emigrating to the United States in search of more meta game, more serious attitude to the game. However, no matter how badly the Finnish politics are in a deadlock or how quiet it will come, I haven’t abandoned and won’t abandon Finland, at least for a while. This is the place for me.
