Hello eUK, and welcome to the first ever eUK Spotlight! This program recognizes and interviews up-and-coming newbies in the UK.

This week’s Spotlight goes to…. Benedict Silvertongue!




We sat down with the fledgling dMoHA:

MoEnt: Hi there!

BS: Hello!

MoEnt: Ok, first question. What made you join eRrepublik?

BS: Well years ago I had joined eRepublik but possessed little understanding of the mechanics and just flopped around for awhile before abandoning the game and deciding to stick to Xbox. More recently however I was searching for some sort of entertainment that would satisfy the intellectual and social standards most online games lacked. Recalling eRepublik I decided to give it another go and I have not been disappointed.

MoEnt: Most newbies are afraid to get involved, especially as quick as you did. Did you just decide to jump into government, was there any forethought?

BS: Well after seeing how eRepublik's most important element is not leveling, fighting, or money but the community I wanted to get the most out of the experience if I was going to dedicate time to it. Checking out Kravenn's guide helped immensely in getting involved. After watching the recent events unfold with interest and seeing the country president candidates unveil their platforms I saw the chance to apply to Kravenn's cabinet and decided to on the spur of the moment. Nothing comes from not trying after all and what better way to get involved and learn at the same time? I did not expect a place on the cabinet given my inexperience but here I am and very grateful for this opportunity to all involved let me tell you.

Now I'm feeling too long winded! 😛

MoEnt: Lol. Well, you are doing a fantastic job in the Ministry.
Do you have any advice for people looking to get involved? Any general advice to the eUK?

BS: For anyone looking to get involved, just give someone a shout and they will point you in the right direction. This community is very friendly and welcoming, especially to newcomers, as I have experienced firsthand.

As for general advice to eUK I'm afraid I can't offer much besides the very general advice of focusing on rebuilding and strengthening the eUK in the spirit of cooperation now that the French War is over. More specifically aiding organizations like the NHS and using the resources we have available such as training loans to better our country.
