[MDP] Defensive Iniative

Not long ago we had a perfect record of shooting down airstrikes of potential conquerers. The streak was broken and were now just coming out of a long occupation. So its time to start making ourselves an undesirable target for aggression.
I won't bullsh*t you at all because that's not what I do. I'll be frank in saying that its going to take months of peaceful downtime to rebuild our military strength to where it once was. I would like to go above and beyond that to something more that we've never had before.
Currently our Nations defensive capabilities stand as thus.
I love my aggressive military campaigns as much as the rest of the members of the MDP but I'm sold on having a defensive iniative in place before any foreign campaigns. I believe we have 2 steps to follow through and I want the Military Dictatorship party front and center leading the charge of this endeavor.
Immediate Defensive Rebuild
First off we have to rebuild our MPP stack to atleast 10. The only problem is the Govt is broke and unable to sign a legitimate amount of allies to deter an attack. Were so broken and weak we have to keep Iran inside our borders as a type of international bodyguard to maintain our freedom. The only downside to this is hindering our tax intake as Iran collects there share. Bodyguards don't work for free but I'm sure we can all agree this one has earned it. That isn't up for debate.
I personally call upon my party and the rest of the nation to help foot the bill to get our MPP stack back in working order. I know Dill has already donated 10k cc for one MPP and I'm willing to throw in another 20k cc to sign 2 more and get this done ASAP.

As a country we need to come together to raise another 50-60k for the country coffers. After that our taxes should stabilize enough to keep MPP's up without private funding. Now that all our RWs are over it will also solve our national Military units problem of finding daily orders to give our soldiers that will shortly be an issue.
Helping the country is obviously helping ourselves and everyone that calls eCanada home.

Long Term Defensive Rebuild
This part of the rebuild will be left solely to Govt and taxes barring no invasions. I want to spearhead this defensive iniative once congress is up and running.
Basically I think our nation should have a bottom line of One million cc in the coffers at all times. On top of that the Comptroller should always have an emergency fund of atleast 200k cc on hand so were not completely reliant on congress transfers and will always be at the ready. It would also be a good idea to have 20k Q7 weapons ready for donation to national MU's for supply. All of these iniatives would be in place for defense only and never for attack.
This would go a long way to securing our borders in the event of invasion. We could all feel a lot more confident with that kind of power to fall back on because if history shows we have done well with a hell of alot less.
After this goal is reached we could feel free to gather and raise funds for any kind of aggressive foreign campaign.
I would like to start writing my first ever congressional bill after almost 6 years of play and this is one I can get behind %100. I'm just looking for opinions, suggestions and general support to see if the idea is worth my time.
There's been a lot of talk of unifying our divided country and personally I think that's never going to happen. We have to many different personalities and opinions on how to get from point A to point B. Even if from an outsiders perspective were all relatively the same because most of us know damn well that isn't so. Atleast from our point of view.
All we really need is a peacetime goal to get behind and keep us from slitting each others throats for a couple months.
MDP can always use your membership and support if you wish to back this as much as I Do. Were going to need all the voting power and seats we can get especially to raise taxes to create a military state.
Just remember Freedom isn't as Free as it sounds.
Lets get to work and get our Defenses up eCanada!!!

BS aside, our recent problems originated when some in Congress decided for the rest of us that we needed to retain UK regions and "teach them a lesson". I know those same people and their friends blame me for not stopping the AS. That's OK, if you can't get over it. I'm tired of arguing about that.
I'm just happy that Rylde is pushing this innovative and I'd like to stand behind him 100%. Canada should never again have to come from behind like this. Let's have a defense capability that will make a potential attacker think twice.

An MPP stack and money in the coffers that disappears in the first few days of a determined invasion
or
the back and forth battles/RWs that allow us to fight for eCanada and gain TP and RW money

its usually peace time that allows for more throat slitting and its usually peace time where people get bored and leave, a MPP stack and a few mil in the bank didnt help us last time and this game has been stipped of anything remotely interesting besides back and forth RW's if your a small and shrinking nation like eCanada.
Peace time will shrink us even further and lead to more internal hostilities

MPP stack we had but everyone was busy. It happens, even Canada has been known to be busy. 😛
Millions, even thousands were not available. I believe there was about 80k and some gold that was converted into 200k or so. Never was there "millions".
would 1 or 2 milllion of made any difference, didnt you spend that on your own? Would it of made any difference if the 1 or 2 million (or more) that you spent had been sitting in the treasury or comptrollers account instead of yours.
I think eCanada, the people of eCanada, grow faster, make more money and are more engaged when we are fighting for eCanada regions rather then saving up for a number of months for a future invasion.
Now if the money was used to purchase people training facilities and companies i might jump on board during peace but I dont see the benefit of "rebuilding" a term in which i never got for some future defence when we are to small to defend anything until wqe either get outside help or our occupiers are occupied elsewhere or get bored
There has possibly been many times that spent out of private pockets, both Canadian and our Iranian friends. I just want to make the points that 1) the money spent was not Canada's, it was spent for Canada and 2) if that hadn't been spent we'd be somebody's piss ant colony.
TheSmoke's idea is taking fruition in what Xander is working on. There will be a Training Ground upgrade program. If you must know Xichael are working on merging CAF with Pickle's to train new citizens and to help build a Canadian centered MU that will be privately funded but the "official" Canuck pew pews.
Hence the peacetime goal. Once completed we can go about being crazy again. The country and populace are legitimately broken and weak. Gold buyers need a break and regular citizens would prolly like to save up a few bucks.
We need some serious peacetime for atleast two months. We owe our allies alot so nothing bad about perhaps helping them back for once.

Im not a gold buyer but the only time I make money are when we are fighting for eCanada regions, the money gets tight when we have a peace as im sure its that was for most non gold buying eCanadians which make up the majority
As for the gold buyers they are probably going to buy gold regardless, which is insane in my opinion.
As to helping allies, we can still do that during a wipe regardless of a MPP, all it takes is some organization and a good PR team to inform the populace and to let our allies know we are helping.
Despite what you think of someone who spends real cash on this game to have some fun, you should consider that the recent "victory" was purchased. Plain and simple. Those lavender regions now appearing on the map were not won by perseverance, fortitude or Canadian resolve. I don't like to be this blunt because I don't want to ruin the "good times". Certain Canadian and Iranian (among others) credit cards bought our "freedom".
I'm sorry, but if you want to continue to piss in the cheerios do it on your own time. Can't we just have a little fun and everyone RP themselves a warm and fuzzy emotion for awhile?
Definitely on the right track. Much of it will have to be an administrative process that will take some tedious time securing orgs from admins, setting tax rates, gathering donations, etc. but after a month or two we will be secure to fight again.

Although I like this idea, I still cannot trust my govt. Until I can, my tasks and finding go towards my MU. For one, taking on more MPPs than we can afford is a big mistake
